UMĒSHU SUSHI — Restaurant in Barcelona

I recently bought the Karage chicken curry on Glovo and had an extremely gross meal delivered. The Karage (a signature Japanese battered and fried chicken piece) was literally dipped into the thick and tasteless curry so had turned into greasy dough lumps with some chicken included in a sea of starchy "stock cube" style curry. The rice was also undercooked and had not been salted. It was inedible.

I had also ordered the fresh lychee (with an illustration of fresh lychee in its shell) and received a literal plastic glass filled with tinned lychee pulp. The tins cost 80 cents in a supermarket and they charged €3.80 on Glovo for a scoop including pulp from 4 lychees.

I have no idea if the food they make and sell in the restaurant is better and so I can't judge them on that. But this was such a terrible meal that I had to write a negative comment - something I hate to do as I don't want to damage anyone's business.

New owners, never will to return.

Wrote a complete explication, but google said I exceeded the limit.

One of the many issues was, no air conditioning inside, didn't work, supposedly. The fan though wasn't turned on.

We have always eaten inside previously.

We were then charged 3 euros for 2 people eat on the terrace!

With no comment or explication.

I have kept the bill and my original comments in case of need.

To repeat, it is a place now for delivery apps. terrible service and quality equally as bad.

Very disappointing as it used to be a great little place to have a weekend lunch.

The japanese "curry" consisted of potato, carrots, water, starch to thicken the water and a few pieces of chicken on top of rice. It was tasteless, disgusting and an absolute embarassment. It resembled something like a childs first try to cook something.

I also ordered some sushi, around 15 pieces. The tuna nigiri had a fishy decomposing taste to it. It was simply inedible and i could tell it had gone beyond it's expiration date, and would probably have made me sick.

The worst sushi i have tried in Barcelona. And it was not cheap either. Please, for the love of japanese cuisine and your health, do...
