I wish I could like this place more than I did. The customer service from the girl behing the counter was straight up bad. I had to ask more than once what kind of non acoholic beers they had, the girl behind the counter didn't answer me and just zoned out. I had to ask more than once what kind of salsas they had and was answered with "salsa picante," so very informative, thanks. We had to ask for salsa twice at the table. We ordered 11 tacos and it came with one lime wedge, like seriously? Who uses one wedge of lime on tacos? The jamaica was watery and was not a typical agua fresca. Maybe they're counting on the fact that most people here have never had jamaica before, or use lime on their tacos. The Michelada was lackluster. And someone (a client? An employee? Who can tell all they did was stand around and chit chat with each other so you couldn't tell Who was working) came in with a scooter and parked it literally barring the way to the toilet so you had to step over it to get past. And the soap dispenser in the bathroom doesn't work.
They give you your tacos on a slate plate and you get no other plates, so you drip taco grease and onions all over the table. That being said, the lengua taco was my favorite. The al pastor was not cooked kebab style and it was obvious. The carnitas were good, as well as the nopales and the huitlachoche. The tacos came out fast, so that's a plus. And I'm glad I got to pick and choose a variety of tacos (like back home in San Diego) , a business model that Mexican restaurants like Santa Catrina and Villano in El Puerto de Santa María should adopt so you're not stuck eating a plate of four moisture sucking cochinita...
Read moreWe were hoping to have a nice lunch, however when we came in we were met by very hostile staff. We sat down and they came and told we're sitting at a table for 3 people and we need to change because we're only two. That's ok, but the way they approached us without even a hello was pretty rude.
The problem is that every table with two seats is a small little table with two uncomfortably small stools that are not designed for a 2 meter person with back problems. We switched the chairs from another table with backrests and chose what we wanted to order. Only when we got to the counter the staff told us - oh you're the people that changed chairs? You cannot do that, you need to switch the stools back. Again, very rude, they waited till the time we came to order to tell us that, at which point we decided this place is not worth it and left.
You should not design a restaurant with seats that no one wants to sit at - please use a proper designer next time and come up with a more creative way to make it comfortable. Other people in pairs also were looking around not wanting to sit at these small tables. A couple went to sit outside and sat at a 4 people's table - for some reason they were allowed.
Please also train your staff to deal with customers and how to communicate with people.
Unfortunately we didnt get to try the food so cannot comment on that.
The place feels like it's without a soul, a businesses that was made for some other purpose than it should have. Quite a...
Read moreThis was the weirdest experience I've ever had in my life. Today we wanted to have lunch at this place. We were two people and the restaurant was absolutely empty, only one table was taken, the rest were empty and definitely no people queuing outside (while actually all places around were quite busy). The guy offered us a table with two chairs that was right at the entrance and which didn't seem to be comfortable. We asked if we could take another one (the same size absolutely, but with three chairs), he said no. We asked why, and he explained that it was for three. Mind you, ALL tables empty except one. So, he refused us to get that table just for the stupid reason that people in three could come. It was super weird. He could have just moved one chair from that table and nothing would have changed, because the tables were exactly the same size. Also, we could have just eaten and left before the place becomes crouded, but he refused to give us the table we asked for. We just left. After one our, on our way back (after sitting and having nice time in a different place), we were passing this place and it was STILL EMPTY - both outside and inside. I still don't understand what was wrong with the guy. This just didn't make any sense - to have an empty place and almost no clients and to refuse simple service that would make no...
