Really quite a disappointing experience.
Service was rushed and very disjointed, fresh dishes of food arriving when previous empty plates still on the table. Nowhere to put the new dishes and the guests having to hold onto the old plates to allow service to continue, not helped by the fact that the table allocated for 4 was very small.
In regards to the dishes, tomato and tuna salad, tomatoes were hard, tasteless and lacked seasoning, coquinas were ok, garlic was almost burnt which caused the dish to have a bitter taste, Iberico pork lasagne excellent, brioche good, calamari awful, cold, overcooked and served on a plain white Spanish bread roll.
Dessert were served within 2 minutes of ordering, a portion of apple pie which was served extremely cold and lacked any sort of finesse or flavour, a chocolate dessert was served with a sweet mango soup which overpowered what was obviously a dessert heated very slightly in a microwave for it to be served lukewarm at best!
Very disappointed, the complete meal was served within 45 minutes of us arriving, a very rushed and...
Read moreAbsolutely charming. Found it by chance and went here two nights in a row. Excellent food in a mix of traditional Spanish tapas style and with modern and Asian twists, very well prepared and elegantly presented. A very nice atmosphere, calm and quiet (nice change from the noisy bars), lovely to sit down, have some delicious food and enjoy the elegant venue. We tried several different dishes and they were all delicious and very reasonably priced. Good wine list, almost all by the glass (perhaps a few new ones from small producers on the list for next time we come...? ;-) ). A definite recommend in Jerez for good food in a...
