Bar Calatrava 10 — Restaurant in Madrid

An atmospheric, probably family-run bar-restaurant in the picturesque Latina neighborhood. Exaggeratedly friendly owner (if you find yourself in a closed bar in the morning- hangs a number with his phone), decor like in grandma's kitchen, delicious food (breakfasts, brunches) in ikosci not to overeat. Highly recommend!!!

Propietario super amable (si encuentras el bar cerrado por la mañana, puedes encontrar su número de teléfono en la pared), decoración como en la cocina de la abuela, comida deliciosa (desayunos, brunchs) en un tamaño que no puedes comer en exceso. ¡¡¡Muy recomendable!!!

Klimatyczny, prawdopodobnie rodzinny bar-restauracja w malowniczej dzielnicy Latina. Przesympatyczny wlasciciel (jeśli trafisz na zamknięty bar rano- wisi numer z jego telefonem), wystrój jak w kuchni u babci, pyszne jedzenie (śniadania, brunche) w ikosci nie do przejedzenia....

Could not recommend this place enough - we visited for breakfast every day of our stay in Madrid. As well as the food and coffee being excellent and well priced the owners went above and beyond for us during the blackout. They gave us food and drink when we we had no cash to pay them and let us hang out during the evening, giving us candles to play cards. We tried to pay the next day but they wouldn't let us. Truly a lovely cafe. Happened upon this cafe one morning, run by a small local family, one morning and stopped in for a toast with ham and brie with a coffee and fresh juice. It was very affordable, the toast and the waffles are quite large for their price. The seating was comfortable and the whole environment is welcoming. I would strongly recommend going here to sit and relax, to grab a quick bite, or to catch up...
