As others have said periodically throughout these reviews… the waiter serving outdoors created a rule specifically for us; he told me and my family we could only sit outside if we were eating - we could not just order drinks. However, every other table outside was packed with people drinking only. I raised this with the waiter (in Spanish) and he said that the others were going to be eating in 30 mins. There were literally about 15 tables filled with people, not one person eating food. For example, groups of more than 8 people round a tiny table, where it’s not even possible to fit food. I then asked the same question to a female waiter who sheepishly told me the same thing. So this was a case of clear discrimination which I was very unhappy about, having never personally experienced anything like this anywhere in over 10 years in Spain. This establishment has a clear agenda, and should be...

I had a wonderful experience at Cafestic! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting — a perfect mix of cozy café vibes with a touch of Madrid’s historic charm. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made me feel right at home.

I tried their paella and croquetas, and both were delightful. The paella was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and had a beautiful mix of fresh ingredients. The croquetas were crispy on the outside, creamy and delicious on the inside — just the right balance.

The coffee here is top-notch, making it a great spot for brunch or a relaxed afternoon break. Whether you’re looking for a tasty meal, a cozy ambiance, or just a good cup of coffee, Cafestic is the place to go in Madrid....

Nice vibe in a cool plaza, but as the saying goes avoid any place near mega tourist areas. I wanted a coffee, waiter was rude and the dude just made up a rule and said outside tables were only for dining, while literally no one had food on their tables. Guy didn't like that I was solo, not going to order 4 meals, and likely not a cash cow. Avoid, there are so many awesome places in Madrid, just remember the ol saying and stick to it and you won't have this experience. Every other place I went to in the city was cool except this one, and it's probably just that one jerk of a waiter. The woman who was waiting the other side in the sun seemed very nice and was smiling. Management if you're reading this, talk to the...
