What an exceptional experience! The food was absolutely divine, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover a stunning restaurant tucked away on the lower floor of a seemingly modest bar. We had the chance to savor the finest jamón in all of Spain—an absolute treat. I highly recommend trying the gambas, which were simply outstanding. The sangria was perfection, complementing the meal wonderfully. What made the experience even more special was the excellent service provided by an employee from Poland. He was incredibly kind, positive, and went above and beyond to recommend the best dishes. His suggestions truly elevated our dining experience. This is a place I’d love to revisit!

Decided to walk to this restaurant for lunch since our room was not ready at the RIU Plaza Espana. A great place to sample Jamon Serrano Ham as well as other items such as Croquettes, sandwiches and local beer. There are counters in front for informal dining as well as tables to enjoy a sit down meal. Many locals came in to purchase ham to go. Ham is fantastic and there are rows of hams dangling from the ceiling or lining the walls. A great photo opportunity..lol! For a good sample of Spanish/Madrid fare, give them a try.

A traditional spanish dried meat restaurant, which i believe it is a chain stall.I thought I ordered mixed meat sandwich, with fried anchoives, and beef, but it turned out the served a mixed ham/cheese plate, so it was a huge order that I didn't expect. Also, it was quite pricy, and mixed plate didn't include the black pork ham sadly, so I was a bit disappointed. The fried fish was lovely, the hams were ok, nothing wow about them. The ambience is nice.

choose other location - unfriendly service team!!! visited in February with family. we ordered simple sandwiches, tee and water - all was tasty. Unfortunately the service was very, very poor - I felt treated like someone that is rather disturbing. half of my order did not came - i tried to claim it but i was constantly ignored by the waitress… finally she came with the bill (not my food)… i refused to pay without being served… she was not speaking englisch, either french or german… and she did not made any effort try to understand what is my problem… after 10 min I was finally served without any words of sorry … and the bill was paid (no tip!). problems happens and it is not a problem but ignorance of the service team is unacceptable… this destroyed our experience in...

Went there at night, and the gentleman serving at the bar was extremely rude and not aware of being in the customer service industry. He slammed the beer in front of us, spilling beer and eventually cleaning it up. When asking for the bill, he threw the plate with the check in our direction. We confronted him about his attitude, which he had no clue about his rude behavior and led to say, "everyone is looking at you." At that point, we said what we had to say and left.

Just like everywhere else, I would say that there are always nice and rude people wherever you go. We just happened to get the bottom tier service.

Food was good and up to par with the other Spanish jamon...
