When you go to a Michelin-recommended restaurant with a high-priced menu, you certainly expect more than what Noi delivers. You also don’t expect to be charged for things that are complimentary at other fine restaurants—like bread. These are the kinds of details that win or lose customers. To the food: the starter was very good—the parmigiana was creative and full of flavor. The second course was average at best; my cacio e pepe tasted as it should, though slightly too salty, with an interesting touch of lime. Then came the disappointing part, which aligns with what many other reviews mention about the service. The room became uncomfortably warm, likely because it was now full, and we were no longer looked after. After our table was cleared, we waited about 20 minutes for the dessert menu, with empty glasses and no water—up to that point, they had been attentive. No waiter even glanced our way. Eventually, we gave up and asked for the check. Only then was I asked if we needed anything else. That was how our anniversary dinner ended. When you choose a good restaurant, you’re choosing an experience—not just good food or good service, but everything in harmony. Paying €125 to feel neglected is not something I...
Read moreI wasn't expecting much in visiting the place but seeing the Michelin star grade on its doors then there must be something special in it. And I have tried one or two Michelin graded restaurants and to be honest it never really mattered. None have really impressed me.
Sadly, it is the same here. Though the food is not bad, it is decent but not I will come back for. I've tried better tasting Italian fine dining or non-fine dining restaurants. The Tiramisu is huge for two people but could be creamier. The pasta is decent but service portion could be better. There is always something missing on the dishes but like what I said, it is ok. For its high end price, being just ok is not matching it.
But I don't want customers to be discouraged by my first two paragraphs. The ambiance of the venue and the service is world class. It is worth bringing family and business mates there for drinks or dinner but don't expect much on the food. Just enjoy the service and...
Read moreIt's the third time I go to this place and although I've really liked the taste of the food, the ambiance and the service (congratulations to the owner on all of these; they are top notch), the reason I'm writing a negative review is that sadly I got a very bad case of food poisoning/gastroenteritis after eating here on Saturday - I immediately left with a gas colic that developed after eating here and has turned into gastroenteritis with very high fevers ever since. I imagine it was the raw egg in the spaghetti with egg sabayon and pecorino that was probably in bad state - if you want to play at the highest level I recommend you put food safety first and foremost, the rest is not meaningful if your clients get very sick after eating at...
