We had a reservation here for my friend’s birthday. Upon arrival, we were seated at a dirty table but thought the waiters would clean it up right away, as they were cheerful at first, however we waited a lot and not one waiter came to our table to clean up or take our order. It was really hard to even get a waiter’s attention and when we were successful, it was really hard to communicate because the waiter knew very little English to the point where he didn’t even understand our order, which is normally understandable however this is supposed to be a very touristic place and a rooftop of a HOTEL. After the waiter came with our orders we saw that he brought the wrong wine (even though we showed it to him on the menu) and one of the cocktails that we ordered never came. We tried to attract the waiters once again and nobody came so two of my friends got up to find someone. However when they didn’t see anyone, they tried to ask to the male bartender for help. They asked him if he knew English and the bartender asked them back if they knew Spanish. Once again, this is a HOTEL rooftop and that question was so inane. Our mother tongue is also not English, we know more than two languages but English is the one that we can communicate with here (and some Italian was useful). We didn’t understand the racism and the need to feel superior by that bartender here. My friends still asked him for help by telling our situation but the bartender didn’t listen to them and only told them to go back to their table and wait for one of his colleagues. At the end the first waiter came and we told him the wine was wrong and the cocktail never came but we didn’t want to order it again because we had lost our excitement. The waiter, thankfully, changed the wine with no problem and immediately wanted to get the payment which we didn’t expect, he said he had to get the payment on every round. Which was fine but we didn’t pay when everything came the first time, even though it was wrong. Overall the music and the atmosphere was great however it is definitely not worth how expensive it is. It was not a...
Read moreWe first visited the sky bar and then went to the restaurant (on the floor below). At the bar, the waiter asked us to pay each time we ordered a drink, which might be convenient logistically, but is not very elegant, especially for such a pricey and 'trendy' bar. In the restaurant, the waiter did not speak english except for a few simple words, which I consider to be quite embarassing for an elegant restaurant in a hotel with international guests. These things were minor and did not make the experience much worse. However, after ordering the bill, the waiter told us to 'go quickly' because more guests were waiting. Our dinner there took us 45 minutes in total, it's not like we were occupying the table for hours. I wanted to wait for my girlfriend to finish her glass of wine after the bill, but apparently the waiter had a tight schedule for the night... Overall, I think the drinks and food are great- the price is adequate to their quality. On the other hand, the restaurant staff gave us a feeling as if they just wanted to milk our cash and get rid of us as soon as possible, which is unacceptable for a restaurant that wants to be seen as prestiguous, or at...
Read moreSpent an evening in this place with a bunch of my colleagues. First off, the view was amazing. However, the service was bad - or rather ridiculous. Over the course of the evening, the waiters did the following things: Shouted for us to go and sit down because us standing in the terrace was causing a "bordel". Approximately 2 min after entering the restaurant. It's also worth mentioning we were the only group there. -Tried to take away wine glasses from the people who were drinking it at least 3 times because they "needed glasses". When my colleague was leaning against a cushion that was placed on his bench, a waiter came to him, pulled the cushion from behind his back and took it away without saying anything. When 3 of our colleagues went out for a smoke, the waiters insisted on taking their chairs away because they "needed these chairs". When asked where my colleagues should sit, he said that they should just squeeze in with us.
So yeah - giving the 2 stars only for the view and for this ridiculous and hillarious experience that I will no doubt be telling people in the...
