Extremely Disappointing Experience – Misleading Pricing, Poor Food Quality, and Rude Staff I had lunch here today and, unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. We ordered two paellas, which were clearly listed in the menu at €16.95 each. However, when the bill arrived, we were charged €18.60 per portion. When I asked for an explanation, I was told that the prices shown in the menu I was given at the table were “for takeaway only.” This is absolutely unacceptable. If I am sitting at a table in a restaurant, the menu I am handed should reflect the actual prices I will be charged. Anything else is misleading and dishonest. Charging customers more than what is clearly stated in the menu is not just bad service – it’s a form of deception. To make matters worse, the food itself was below average – bland, uninspired, and far from what one would expect from a proper Spanish paella. And if that wasn’t enough, the staff were rude, abrupt, and entirely unhelpful. When I raised the issue, they acted as if I was the problem, rather than taking responsibility for the confusing and misleading pricing. As a visitor to Madrid, this experience left a very bad impression. I would strongly advise others to stay away from this place. REPLY: Thank you for your reply. However, the 10% surcharge is written in very small print at the bottom of the menu and only in Spanish, which makes it clearly misleading for non-Spanish-speaking visitors. Transparency should be a priority, especially in a city that welcomes so many tourists.

Perfect spot right next to Palacio Real to relax with a cold drink and take in the sunset. The ambience is unbeatable: Open-air seating with stunning palace views as the sun goes down. The staff were incredibly friendly and I even got some complimentary snacks with my beer, despite not ordering food. I can’t comment on the meals, as I only had drinks, but the service really stood out. At around €7 for a beer, it’s a bit pricey, but considering the location, it’s fair. All in all, a great place to unwind with friendly service, amazing views, and a relaxed vibe. Would definitely stop by again.

The vegetable paella was okay, but not the best food I’ve ever tried. However, there was one thing that stood out to me, and that was the waitress Kimberly. She was the only one serving all the customers who were sitting in the terras, and they were many customers. She was busy all the time, her effort and kindness stood out to me. I was so surprised, I’ve seldomly seen someone doing their work so passionately and effortfully as she did. If you ask me, she deserves a raise in her salary, she’s a top waitress. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The location is very nice and pleasant, it was a welcome visit.

I do not recommend this place at all. This morning (30/09/25), around 9am, we simply needed two chairs because my friend had just fallen off her bike, was dizzy, and almost lost consciousness. Instead of showing a little understanding, the waitress kept repeating that the restaurant was “closing,” showing complete indifference and zero empathy.

We didn’t try anything from there, but the experience was enough to see that this is not a place with respect or humanity. Not only did she not offer even a glass of water, but she insisted we stand up, while my friend was still trying to recover. In the end, she even showed her irritation by banging the chairs around.

It is truly disappointing to meet people who, in a moment of need, show absolutely no compassion. I honestly hope that if you ever find yourself needing help, you encounter someone kind, and not someone like the person we...

We just came out of the royal place tour hungry and tired. This restaurant is conveniently located right around the corner of the Royal place. We went inside and sat on a table and there were couple other tables occupied and most of table were empty. As soon as we sat one of the lady who was having some food and works/own the place started giving us rude looks. We ignored it. At one point she ordered us to get off the table we sat in and move to a different table. We don’t mind moving if we were requested politely. Now comes the food. We ordered churros with chocolate and a Margarita Pizza. Chocolate was too thin and runny and the Churros was ok. The Pizza was completely bland. We are giving it two stars because of the lady who served us was excellent, otherwise we would have given it a negative rating if it...
