Taberna El Rincón de Pardiñas — Restaurant in Madrid

Popped in based on some reviews and photos of dishes - after sidestep a smoking waitress in the doorway (why do people do that?) I found it quite empty, initially.

I was given a small cheese and biscuits tapas whilst I waited up on a table, ordering a beer. They provide an English menu but the range didn't seem to be as large as their native Spanish one. I ordered lamb chops which came accompanied by a small amount of chips and a minor dollop of a spicy sauce, leaving the whole plate somewhat dry - it needed a salad or something to break up the monotony, and I found the lamb soft and a bit rare in places.

There were no condiments on table; I had to request oils and vinegar for bread. The vinegar was a sharp red wine vinegar - but puzzled why they weren't available earlier.

Not a bad meal, but there was a feeling they're not really properly organised there and I wasn't given the impression they really wanted a lot of business, so I'll stay...

Jose the owner takes amazing care of all his customers. You get to see the locals of Salamanca in Madrid. The food is extraordinary to say the least. Price food ratio balanced. Always friendly and welcoming their clients. I have been faithful since 2012 when locals took me their for a beer and Tapas. Since then I go on every visit whilst in Madrid. Jose and his crew have kept highest food standard and never fail to offer me a new dish which again makes me come back as they nail it. Nothing fancy. Honest and in summer you can sit and smoke outside. During winter they have a table outside of or smokers. Great choice for simple but culinary fulfilling...

Mi visita a este restaurante ha sido pésima . Desde el inicio, quedó claro que la calidad y el servicio están muy lejos de lo esperado.

Comida: • El primer plato, un tomate completamente insulso y blando, daba la impresión de estar lejos de cualquier estándar de calidad. • Las croquetas eran pasables, pero nada destacable. • Las navajas, aunque decentes, no compensaron la decepción general. • El secreto, que se anunciaba como ibérico de bellota, claramente no lo era. Parecía un intento de justificar un precio elevado sin ofrecer la calidad correspondiente. • Para colmo, el rodaballo que nos sirvieron fue media cola, acompañado de una salsa aguada, y el pescado no tenía absolutamente ningún sabor. Un plato que debería ser un lujo resultó ser una auténtica decepción.

Servicio: Cuando mencionamos amablemente que el pescado no estaba bueno, la camarera reaccionó de forma completamente inapropiada, con una respuesta que aún no puedo creer: “Eso es que no sabéis comer pescado”. En lugar de aceptar una crítica constructiva o mostrar interés por la satisfacción del cliente, se tomó la observación como un ataque personal. Esto es inadmisible en cualquier establecimiento que se precie.

Por si no fuera suficiente, al negarnos a pedir postre, la misma camarera comentó en voz alta y con tono despectivo a su compañero: “Ni postre, ni café, ni nada han pedido”. Una actitud totalmente poco profesional y desagradable.

Conclusión: Este restaurante no solo falla en la calidad de su comida, sino también en el trato al cliente. No lo recomendaría a nadie. Es inaceptable pagar un precio elevado por una experiencia tan mala en todos los sentidos.
