La Milanese Madrid delivers a solid Italian dining experience with a focus on quality pasta and their signature milanese preparations. The really good bolognese pasta was a standout, featuring a meat sauce that I loved for its rich, slow-cooked flavors and proper consistency that clung perfectly to the pasta.
The carbonara was decent, prepared in traditional style with eggs and fried guanciale that demonstrated respect for authentic Roman technique. While not exceptional, it met the standards expected from proper carbonara preparation without the cream additions that often bastardize this classic dish.
The absolute highlight was the De La Casa beef milanese with burrata trufada, mortadela and pistachio - this dish was excellent, showcasing creative Italian fusion at its finest. The combination of crispy milanese, creamy burrata, savory mortadela, and crunchy pistachios created a harmonious blend of textures and flavors that elevated the simple cutlet concept into something special.
In contrast, the Margherita beef milanese lacked flavor and was merely decent, demonstrating how the same base preparation can vary significantly depending on the accompanying ingredients and seasoning choices.
Overall, La Milanese Madrid proves to be a nice lunch restaurant to visit, offering reliable Italian comfort food with some creative highlights that make it worth returning to explore more of their milanese variations. The restaurant succeeds in providing satisfying midday meals without pretension, focusing on quality execution of familiar...

📝Notes: This restaurant is really chill, the vibes aren’t too bad but when we went for lunch, it was super empty. The Vitello Tonnato was pretty decent. However the Classica Milanese tasted good but was pretty oily and I don’t think it shows from the pictures, but once you cut the Milanese up, I was easily tearing the paper underneath. Causing me to accidentally eat the paper without knowing. Don’t get me wrong, the paper is a cool touch to the menu item, however I think maybe reduce the oil of the Milanese and we wouldn’t have this problem. In the end would I come...
Read moreLike a corner of Italy in Madrid. The chefs and waiters were Italian. Great service and very friendly. The food was delicious, what stood out the most was the quality of the single ingredients. The bread and oil they brought to the table were superlative. The cheese and other ingredients on the cotolette milanesi also top quality. Great Aperol and Campari spritzes. Tiramisu’ was delicious and homemade. And the pistachio ice cream was astounding… and offered on the house because it was a little soft when they served it. I would have gladly paid for it. So a great experience and restaurant run with care and...
