Torcuato | Rooftop Madrid — Restaurant in Madrid

The most beautiful space inside and outside but what a shame it is the worst service you can ever experience.

My friend and I sat in the terrace. It took like 20 minutes to get a menu from the waiter. And another 10 minutes for him to come back and take our order. I asked if they can make iced coffee and they said no. Even though it’s a bar and of course they have ice. I asked them if they have syrups like caramel and they said no even though there were a line of syrup bottles at the bar.

Then we asked if they give things like nuts or potato chips every time you order a drink and he said no because you can’t eat on the terrace, even though people had ordered huge plates of sushi right in front of us!!!

Every time we raised our hand for something we were ignored or the waiter nodded and never came to us. Finally we gave up after seeing absolutely no waiter on the terrace and we left to see that all the waiters were inside eating.

Just unbelievable and horrible service experience.

Management, please don’t write saying you’re going to make sure it doesn’t happen again because you’ve written this to other people who have left bad reviews and THIS IS...

A very good place to have an elegant dinner and some drinks. It’s great they have a dining room separate from the bar. The service could be a bit better though. It seems that they were a bit structured and not use to deal with high-end customers. I have opportunity to go there with my colleagues. We had a booking. We asked for a drink outside the booking menu, and they didn’t know what to do. We were willing to pay. Although we were asking to pay the additional, they were asking themselves out loud if we were able to do so. It was so weird. For such a place, the service should be better. They ended up bringing the additional drink, charging for that, and bringing the in-menu drink just 5 seconds after that. Why they didn’t mention there was an additional drink included in the menu? We were a party of 10 on a rainy evening on the rooftop. We selected this restaurant from a reco that I saw on tik tok. Unfortunately the experience fell way below expectations . My meal was fine and some of the other meals were good as well but the service was severely poor. The wait staff as a whole was not only inattentive but on the periphery of rude. All except for our young male waiter, the rest of the staff was unfriendly and acted as if we were a bother. To end the evening, our bill showed a generic line item that amounted to an additional 200 euros. When questioned, they said it was an error in that they had charged us for 14 additional bottles of wine! We may be American and not fluent in the Spanish language, but we are not stupid.
