DADALÌA pizza bar — Restaurant in Palma

Wow, this has got to be the most challenging review I've written since joining the community. I have to be honest and say upfront that I know the owners, so it took me a while to gather my thoughts. But here goes!

I finally paid a visit to Novella & Jacopo's fantastic establishment, and I have to say, it's a shining example of Italian pride right here in Palma. From the highest quality products to the warmest Italian service, Novella & Jacopo truly impressed me. Sorry, guys! Good things take time, but it was definitely worth the wait! 😄

So, it was me and my two "Viginun" friends, out for a night in Palma, and we decided to have dinner at DADALÌA. From the moment we stepped in, we knew it was going to be a quality experience. The beautiful art deco style, nestled in the most classic Mallorquin roof "bighe de madera," mixed with modern and old-fashioned design furniture, set the perfect ambiance. And then there's Jacopo, the owner, whose warm Italian welcome makes you feel like you're walking into your own home.

The place has about 40 cozy seats, and it's pretty popular, so I'd recommend booking in advance. The night we went was packed! Jacopo even told us they turned the tables three times by 9 pm. Now that's impressive! The staff, both on the floor and at the pizza station, are all Italian, which adds to the authenticity. We asked Jacopo to take care of our order, only specifying the drinks we wanted, and boy, did he deliver! But, I did manage to annoy the boss, Novella, because I didn't try the pasta 🤣. Instead, I indulged in mouth-watering antipasti misti and divine white and red pizzas, topped with a bit of spicy sauce. What more could you ask for, right? Oh, and to top it off, it wasn't even my turn to pay, so it was a double victory for me!

And, I almost forgot to mention dessert! We indulged in the chocolate cake, which was the perfect ending to our meal. And of course, we paired it with espresso coffee and grappa. To top it all off, they even offered us limoncello from the house as a farewell gesture. It was the cherry on top of a fantastic dining experience! 🍰☕🥃🍋

Overall, I'd give it a 10/10, and I'll definitely be back to try your pasta,...

My partner and I had amazing pizza here yesterday.

The man who I believe is the owner was exceptionally warm and was easily able to find us a table even though we showed up one hour before our reservation. We could also easily modify our pizzas.

The food and drinks were tasty and the environment was warm! Exceptional and authentic.

As a side note: walking in a different area of town today we ran into the owner who found me in a crowd, remembered my name, shook my hand, and wished us a nice rest of the trip. A great guy!

We stumbled upon here quite by accident and so glad we did. We were offered a table by our super friendly server,and even though we did not have a reservation and it was quite busy we were made to feel quite welcome and at ease. The pizza is superb especially the Margarita,and also the Stracciatella and Tomato,and we were so impressed we went back a second night of our stay to try the pasta which is equally as good. If you're looking for good quality Italian pizza and pasta then you'd be hard pushed to...
