Mar Blanc — Restaurant in Palma

I usually don’t leave bad reviews but I am surprised the place has so many good ones. Maybe we were there on a bad day or a bad time but first of all the burger was very dry, the fries were SUPER soggy and way to greasy.

The salad with the goat cheese was ok (besides that the roasted goat cheese was ice cold and didn’t seem freshly made) then there was 2 pieces of plastic in my salad which looked like straw pieces and the waiter didn’t do much besides telling me that it was from the goat cheese package?!? I didn’t know what to do with this information to be honest.

The prawns didn’t taste fresh and had no flavor.

I understand it was late when we came but this is a no for me and I will not be back...

Had dinner at Mar Blanc on a summer day. We very much enjoyed the service (don't know his name), our server tended to almost the entire terrace area, like 10 tables, without leaving us feeling left out. We were entertained the entire time by his fast walking and precise cleaning up.

Food is good, but nothing wowed us. We had shrimp in sauce, Angus beef steak, grilled cod and shishito peppers. Peppers came in generous portion.

Atmosphere: there was no live music when we dined there, no conversation between tables. Waiter allowed the couple next to us smoke, so to us, the atmosphere was pretty bad when they smoked.

Beautiful terrace in Cala Mayor. They were under staffed when we were there with only one waiter, so the service was somewhat slow. The food was good with some exceptions.

We liked: The BBQ burger: Delicious but the patty was very dense. Fries were great but could’ve used some more time in the fryer. The aioli and the newly baked bread was delicious

We disliked: The olives: Extremely bitter with a soap-like taste The scallops: Presented as a main dish for 18€, we were very disappointed when we were served four grape-sized scallops. It would have been okay as a starter for half of the price, but that was definitely not...
