Pelícano Beach — Restaurant in Palma

One of the worst meals I have ever had. Very poor service accompanied by overpriced, badly cooked food that took almost two hours to come. After waiting over an hour for one portion of potato salad to come, our mains came another hour later. Despite paying €21 for grilled pork chops, it came and was 90% fat, and poorly cooked. Meanwhile the grilled prawns were over cooked, and very unpleasant to eat (the ones I did eat, at least). Admittedly the waiter apologised several times, yet when we spoke to the front of house about how disappointed we were, she argued back, despite everything (waiting times, poor food, etc.). Location is very nice, it's right in front of the beach and soothing music and the waves, it was the perfect place! I only wish the food was better 😖 I ordered the spaghetti with prawns, because it has thumbs up logo on it - I assumed it's a recommendation. I've never seen such unappetising looking dish. Sure there were some prawns in it, bit the amount of spaghetti was far more than the prawns and the sauce doesn't taste great either. They could put more garnish or lemon wedges perhaps to make it more appetising - I mean, it looked like a pasta with tomato sauce from the tin. So...

Das Ambiente ist zwar schön, aber alles in allem war es katastrophal. Ich esse wirklich überall, auch am Ballermann um 06:00 morgen ne Bratwurst, wenn’s sein muss. Aber sowas ekelhaftes und überteuertes habe ich noch nie erlebt. Für mein Sandwich und ein paar Chips musste ich 16,50 Euro blechen. Da ich im Urlaub bin, habe ich da auch nicht so sehr drauf geachtet und es erstmal hingenommen. Das Essen kam nach 5 Minuten, was an sich toll ist, aber kein Qualitätsmerkmal ist. In meinen Chips (welche zu 100 Prozent aus dem Supermarkt für 1 Euro gekauft wurden sind) war ein langes schwarzes Haar. Ich hab das Essen zurückgeben lassen und nach wieder zwei Minuten neues bekommen und dementsprechend sah es auch aus. Die Salzchips waren noch das beste. Das Sandwich war ungenießbar und ekelhaft. Das Brot trocken, das Hähnchen Fleisch undefinierbar, der bacon ungenießbar, der Salat und das Dressing waren ok, wobei es auch nur Blattsalat war und das Dressing auch sehr wahrscheinlich gekauft war. Meine Freundin hatte Schnitzel mit Salat und einer mini Portion Kartoffelspalten. Ich liebe Schnitzel und esse selbst das Schnitzel aus dem Supermarkt gelegentlich, aber das war eine absolute Frechheit. Trocken und nicht knusprig. Die Spalten waren ok. Und der Salat trocken und lieblos ohne Dressing. Zu allem Überfluss wirkten die Kellner, die an sich ganz nett waren, teilweise überfordert. Die Monopolstellung war zu 100 Prozent erkennbar und ich schreibe nie schlechte Bewertungen, aber in dem Fall muss ich’s einfach mal loswerden.
