We stayed for 7 nights at the Belle Marivent in a Junior Suite (with balcony) on a bed and breakfast basis. The hotel is a modern new build (2023) designed to utilise every inch of space within its small footprint. This was reflected in the suite layout, which comprised a bedroom with a separate shower and toilet opening directly into the room itself (not so much an en-suite, more of a room with a loo). There was also a well equipped lounge area joined via a short aisle, which included a sink unit and main wardrobe. We had no problems adjusting to the layout and found that it worked quite well, the only observation was that as a typical new build the quality of fit and finish was less than perfect in places. ||We would echo the comments of others regarding the location being handy for either walking to Cala Major beach or jumping on the bus (No 4) to Palma.||We thought the Coffee Corner next to reception was a nice touch and used it most days for a croissant and a drink on our return after a day out. We didn’t use the rooftop splash pool or loungers during our stay preferring to go to the beach instead.||The only inconvenience was the arrangement for breakfast as the hotel outsources this to a local restaurant (Restaurante Porto Zulema) which is a couple of doors up from the hotel. You simply tell them you’re from the hotel, quote your room number and you’ll be given a separate hotel menu. There are no prices on the menu and you can choose what you want. ||While the restaurant staff were very friendly and spoke fairly good English we found that what you get varies from day to day e.g. choose two eggs on artisan country bread one day and receive exactly what your ordered, order the same thing next day and you might get one egg on a toasted baguette!) That said we found the food to be well cooked and if you fancied something that wasn’t on the menu they would try their best to make it for you.||We just think it would be more convenient for guests if the hotel utilised its own fully functioning restaurant in the basement for breakfast, rather than just opening it up on an evening.||The thing that did stand out during our stay however was the warmth and friendliness of every staff member in the hotel. They all work exceptionally hard and demonstrate a genuine willingness to help make your stay a pleasant and memorable one.||If we were simply reviewing the staff it would be a resounding 5/5 but we really feel that a four star hotel should have all amenities on...
Read moreWe were excited to stay at Belle Marivent while we were in Majorca for a wedding but sadly - overall - we were left disappointed. ||Firstly, the positives - the reception area is gorgeous, and almost lulls you into a false sense of security. Smells lovely and looks lovely and actually Lucia on reception was really great. The rooftop pool is also great, albeit extremely small with barely anywhere to sunbathe.||The hotel itself just gives the overall feel it is very understaffed and is doing anything it can to save money. The rooms are crammed into an extremely tiny area - your sink is practically at your bedside, there is no bathroom per se but just tiny rooms of a shower and a toilet.||Breakfast is really awful. All three mornings they had 'run out of yoghurt because it went off'. With a supermarket down the road, they could have easily replaced this. There was only one waiter in the room on each morning. This meant the (extremely limited) buffet frequently ran out, and was not replaced unless you got up and walked to the kitchen/bar area to ask the waiter/waitress to replace it. The jugs of water were empty for around 15 minutes which was really frustrating. When ordering a hot breakfast prepare to wait 20 minutes for it to come, even if there is literally no one else in the restaurant.||Another shocking moment was when I called reception and asked for a small jug of fresh milk to have with my self made coffee from the coffee machine in our room, as I really dislike the tiny long-life milk pods. I was told sorry there is no fresh milk. I asked whether I could just be brought some from the kitchen - to be told that the restaurant is not in fact connected to the hotel at all. Just found this baffling, as I've never ever been refused some fresh milk at a hotel before. The coffee cups in our room were also dusty and unclean.||Lastly, while the man on reception and Lucia were great, the cleaning staff were extremely rude. We were getting ready for a wedding that started at 2pm so naturally we were showering/getting ready at 11am. The cleaners repeatedly banged on our doors insisting they needed to come in. When we said we needed another 20 mins or so, we were met with eye rolls and sighs. I understand it must be frustrating as they have a schedule, but it is also a very small hotel. ||All in all, I would say the Belle Marivent is absolutely not worth the price we paid. A few glimmers of greatness but overall a...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at Belle Marivent Petit Mediterranean Hotel. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the amazing overall design that seamlessly blends modern aesthetics with a Mediterranean touch. Every corner of this hotel exudes elegance and sophistication.
The bed was comfortable, and the room was always spotless due to their quality daily cleaning. The linens and towels provided were of world-class quality, adding to the luxury and comfort of the stay. The shower was a pleasure with very good pressure and instant hot water. The hotel offers blazing fast WiFi with speeds reaching 250 Mbps on speedtest.net, ensuring seamless connectivity throughout my stay.
The rooftop area, although the pool size is relatively small, offers a beautiful view and is a perfect spot to unwind after a day at the nearby Cala Major beach. Speaking of the beach, its mere 5-minute walking distance from the hotel is a true asset, providing the opportunity to bask in the sun and swim in the crystal-clear pool quality waters.
The hotel boasts an enchanting fragrance throughout, creating a pleasant ambiance and enhancing the overall experience. The impeccable and very friendly staff added a personal touch to my stay, always ready to assist and making me feel welcome.
Moreover, the hotel's strategic location, being only a short drive or bus ride away from the bustling center of Palma, made exploring the city effortless. Additionally, the tranquility of the surrounding area was a pleasant surprise. The proximity of top-rated restaurants ( There are a lot of Google 4.7+ restaurants in the area) in the vicinity added to the convenience, making dining choices abundant and delightful.
Though I could only experience the breakfast on my last day due to ongoing restaurant renovations (as aptly communicated by the hotel in advance), it was a very good and diverse spread with a buffet and a la carte options as well.
In conclusion, my stay at Belle Marivent Petit Mediterranean Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of unparalleled service, luxurious amenities, and the good location makes this establishment a top choice for anyone seeking a remarkable Mediterranean getaway. I cannot...
