I write this review from a tourist point of view. This is my personal experience and surely different from others.
This market should be an easy miss if you are here on holidays (except if you staying in an apartment).
95% of the market stalls sell fresh food like meat, fish and veggies but if you are a tourist wandering around the city, here there is pretty much nothing for you. There is nothing ready to eat or to try. There is a sushi place, which if you came to Spain on holidays you surely don't want to eat. There is a stall where you can sit down and have some tapas. The tapas are all overpriced and pre cooked. When you order, the food goes in a lovely microwave and then 1 minute after is it served to you. The food stay cold in the middle, the plate is very hot and everything gets cold again in 3 minutes. The menu is written only in Spanish.

The products are great; perfect fresh fish, beautiful vegetables, but everything is super expensive compared to any other market in Mallorca. There are a couple of nice bars presenting good looking dishes with local products. Very recommendable is "Bar de Mercat", on the corner of the south entrance. There one can let products obtained on the market, be prepared on the "planca" (hotplate) for 6 euros p.p. The cook did a amazing job on our calamari, scallops and pimentos de padron. All cool, but only if you have...
Read moreSúper clean market, we buy all our meats here specifically at Carcineria Juanita, amazing staff and selection of meat, from the chicken, to entrecôte, angus, ground meat, ready made croquettas, sausages, nuggets, wings and the best steaks. Another stop would be the La Fábrica de Hamburguesas burger meat place we get the mini ones for the house, freshly made with Galician beef, my fave would be the foie and the chili while my kids love regular Galician and Parmesan ones. I get my pastries at Can de Paris, my coffee at Cafes can Joan, cheese at Sagla, jamón and more at charcutería Izquierdo, and...
