2 stars because of the hosts and service only.
Wish we had read the reviews before dining here. Really seemed like a great menu and staff were friendly.
However the food was just such a disappointment. The steak I ordered was bland and not what you would expect paying for something similar to a fine dining restaurant, that is easily accessible in anywhere in palma (5 restaurants within 20 meters..) the vegetables that came with this were also cold and bland. I’m not one to complain as so many tables around me were. so I just ate everything and called it a day.
My partners food was raviolis which I also tried. (20 euro) and unfortunately buying frozen raviolis and mixing them with mutti sauce then adding some shrimp in also doesn’t mean it’s anything nice or special. As in her words if she was to cook something like this at our home, she would feel upset at the way it turned out..
I would also like to note the amount of tension that was between the staff, it was unprofessional and even clipboards being thrown on the ground by one individual.
Unfortunately going through the comments I have noticed that only the good comments have been answered to and not the negative. Which is very unfortunate as this place has massive potential, great location, GREAT waiting staff. But paying the amount we did for what we could make better at home for a 1/3rd the price as non cheffy people. Unacceptable. Please take time to refer to this and sort it out...
Read moreThe food - average at best The drinks - overpriced and warm The service - horrible Value for money - 3/10
Verdict - spend your money elsewhere if you want authentic food.
Paella was more like a risotto with minimal substance (3 prawns few strips of squid in a 2 person serve - that’ll cost you €48). Patatas bravas soggy and overpriced. Cocktails came room temperature and wine was expensive but nice at least. We ordered 2 serves black paella’s and 5 serves of regular (€110) and the black came out a good portion, while the regular came out in the same size pan and no extra serves. We asked about the rest of the food and the manager came out to argue with us and tell us it was a bigger serve. After arguing with us for 5 minutes, telling us to “smile and eat” she wanted to serve us to prove there was enough for 5 serves, even though two people had already had some of the food. We were surprised to receive a small discount after we finished, with 5 of our party still hungry. Regardless of the reply to this, we can assure you if we had researched as you might be doing now, they have done this multiple times in the past. Not good enough but they’ll strive on tourists and remain open. You get what you get on holiday I...
Read moreFood was amazing - I got seafood paella - perfect, I just wish the rice was cooked bit more.
Then, I got the aubergine parmigiana - this was so creamy and cheesy - loved it!
Service was poor - I think the waitress that served me was racist, I was the only brown guy there and definitely felt some weird vibes - like she was proper bogging at me darting her eyes at me as if I’m not supposed to be here.
Suddenly, a person starts begging right over my table and I’m like I’m just trying to eat, surely the staff could have intervened as it’s their premises.
I mean i spent over €40 as my last meal in Mallorca before flying out back to London and this left such a sour taste.
I did ask to speak to the manager who apparently was not available (convenient) but I did ask that my experience be shared with the manager. To be fair the other waitress who served me at the end offered me a free lemon shot which tasted really good.
Great food such a shame about the...
