SOLATZ BY SAEZ — Restaurant in Palma

My husband and I visited Solatz by Saenz yesterday. My husband is a coeliac, and was amazed to be in a place where everything was gluten free…so many choices ! There was a very large selection of the most delicious looking cakes and the staff was so helpful and friendly. It honestly is the most unassuming and beautiful little bakery/ café. We loved relaxing there after a long day of exploring Palma. We ended up staying for a long time and tasted a lot of cakes and biscuits. We loved them all, but honestly, their cheesecake is the best cheesecake that I have ever eaten ( and I am not a coeliac). Nice idea but not thought-through. Most of the products I wanted had to be „prepared“ first so I would have had to wait at least 30 minutes. That’s not the point of a bakery where you normally just pick up something and go. The interior did not make me feel welcome either, bad lighting. Then I ordered something else, a normal magdalena, which I had to ask for again to be delivered to my table. I visited Solatz this week after googling the best gluten free cafes/bakeries in Palma before visiting. It was so nice to be able to order things such as cheesecake and tirimasu, which I haven’t been able to since my celiac diagnosis. The member of staff that served us was new and from the uk.
