After reading the reviews I believed it was a safe bet to have a good meal early, they open at 19:00 for dinner. I had to leave in the morning so I wanted to eat early. WOW was I disappointed. My sea bass was over cooked to the point it was very dry. It was like eating cardboard. I wanted to order a bottle of wine and I am unfamiliar with the wines of Spain so I asked for a sample. The server said, "we don't do that and if we did every person would want a taste and we would run out of wine." It is inexpensive but that is because it is not quality. When I left to walk back to my hotel there were several places that were packed with people enjoying good food. I should have passed on Antollos, when you are the only person there that means the place is no good. I've been in Spain for 3 weeks this place is the bottom of the list. Don't waste your money here. Service was less than average, food was poor. Even if they offered me a free meal I would pass.
EDIT: In reply to Antollos Pinchos e Viños. Check out all my reviews, never before have I given a one star. All my reviews have been 4 or 5 stars. I gave a one star for a...
Read moreThis is an easy restaurant to go to : walk in, select Pintxos from the counter, take them to your table, keep your toothpicks and pay when you are done.
We really liked the concept and it is really well explained inside the restaurant on the walls in 3 languages.
Good selection of wines.
We thought there were only the cold pintxos in the counter but you can also order hot ones. We tried many kinds of pintxos, the crab & mayonnaise one was our favorite. You might want to order a mix of hot & cold as the cold ones become redondant after a few (lots with cream cheese, the bread slices is a little too thick which tend to dumb down the flavour of the pintxo (if we can make a suggestion : thinner slices of bread).
Beautifully decorated space, clean and wide enough to accommodate a crowd.
Prices are reasonable, we recommend mostly for a quick and easy lunch.
P.S.: please leave a quick ❤️ if you found this review useful,...
Read moreSo I normally don't go out of my way to write a bad review. However, so many groups of people wanted to meet me here that I went there three times and just got more annoyed each time. Having the little toothpick thing makes it quite expensive. Plus someone picked it cuz it was vegetarian friendly. Having a dish with mushrooms does not make a place of vegetarian friendly. Now. The people I went with weren't upset at the food but they're also weren't really thrilled with the food either. I would say it's average. And my experience in the rest of the city was that there was so much really good food. Especially from coming from the Camino where the food was so hit or miss. I gave it two stars instead of one simply because the service was nice. I did find the really tall tables, inconvenience and...
