Bar Americano — Restaurant in Seville

Unfortunately, my recent visit to this iconic bar within the emblematic Hotel Alfonso XIII was deeply disappointing. I fondly recall my experience in 2017 when I ordered an Ocnos wine served in a fine-quality glass, accompanied by a meticulously prepared and charming tapa. This time, however, everything seemed to have lost its spark.

The wine was served in a crude, poor-quality glass, far from the elegance expected in a venue of this caliber. The accompanying tapa was uninspired, lacking style and any hint of the charm that once defined the experience.

The cocktail offerings were equally underwhelming. The drinks lacked creativity and sophistication, while the service was chaotic. The bartenders, with very limited English skills, seemed disorganized, running around like headless chickens, which added a sense of amateurism completely out of place in such a prestigious setting.

It’s truly disheartening to see how a once-renowned venue in Seville has fallen into such mediocrity. I sincerely hope the Hotel Alfonso XIII takes action to restore the Bar Americano to its former glory, as it currently fails to live up to the high standards its...

A great hotel bar. We visited during the day and had lunch on the terrace. The food was great but the service was absolutely horrible. Can you imagine we had to wait 1,5 hours for a salad and a long time till the drinks (white wine) was served? They apologized and were offered an extra white wine on the house...

Mi coctelería favorita de la ciudad, no solo por los deliciosos cócteles sino también por el entorno maravilloso en el que está este bar, el histórico hotel Alfonso XIII, un buque insignia de la hostelería de la ciudad. Muchos pueden decir que los precios son muy caros, pero no es un local para ir cada fin de semana sino en una ocasión especial y bien que lo merece. Además de ello a mí me han ganado y elogio como se ha comportado todo su staff durante estos horribles dos años de restricciones: con mucho sacrificio fueron los primeros en abrir contra viento y marea tras el confinamiento, aún perdiendo mucho dinero con ello porque aquí no venía ni el "tato" y este hotel solo en mantenimiento debe necesitar una millonada. BRAVO por ellos, aquí tendrán siempre una clienta fiel por su valentía, buen hacer y porque dan un servicio de 10. Nada de estiramiento, sabiendo estar en su sitio con amabilidad y...
