Ena Sevilla — Restaurant in Seville

My wife & I decided we would treat ourselves and have a cocktail and some light food on the patio at this beautiful & iconic Alfonso VIII hotel. We sat down and after a very long wait to get their attention, ordered two cappuccinos to start and asked the server to clean the seat as it had bird feces on it. Another server brought the coffees and we asked again to have it cleaned. Nope…didn't do it. We then asked for a menu to order some food. They did not bring one. I eventually had to get up and ask at the bar for a menu. So then you would think the servers would know we were interested in ordering food. Nope. No server came for our order. Even over about 30 minutes…nobody. We were prepared to pay about 70 euros for a cocktail each and a couple of tapas, but nobody would take our order or pay ANY attention to us. We eventually walked out of the restaurant and I refused to pay for the cappuccinos. The servers just stared at me as I walked out. I proceeded to the concierge inside the hotel lobby and complained about the service in the restuarant. I notice this place has a poor google rating already. Why, at such a beautiful and expensive hotel, is this restaurant at such a poor rating? Very disappointing to us who do not normally visit such places. We just wanted to treat ourselves this once and it failed miserably. I will stick with the local small establishments who actually care about their customers. I was here in 2021 and had an incredible meal so was raving about it to my friends, and then we brought them here and it was not the same level of quality. It looks similar it's just a cheap impression of something more expensive. Completely lacking in taste... But for the same price.

Also the food was brought randomly and I had two courses finished before my mum even was served one. I hope they bring back the quality from the last time.
