This place is a really lovely little tucked away place with only a few tables and a real family run feel, so best to ring and book. The service is excellent as is the knowledge and selection of wine. The food menu gives you lots to choose from although some of the translations are a little misleading for instance we had a very lovely octopus timbale but essentially it was mostly very tasty mashed potatoes with about four little pieces of octopus hidden in it. However there are some really stand out dishes like the tuna with truffle mayo and the tuna na prawn salad were out of this world delicious. Hate to sound like the average tourist but here, the servers didnt seem interested im communicate anything substantial about the wines, but just said that Rioja was tempranillo, etc. They didn’t have a wine list, and I was told the list on the blackboard was outdated. All the wines we tasted were very cold. The food was so-so, more like home cooking than a restaurant. Read moreI luckily managed to get a table here last Saturday. I was early and quiet when I arrived, but as the evening progressed it began to fill up with locals - always a good sign in my book. The restaurant is small and tastefully decorated with a relaxed ambience. The food was beautiful and the wine equally lovely - I enjoyed a local white and then Moscatel with my dessert. Service was attentive and very friendly. They also spoke excellent English which was much appreciated - I have attempted to learn a bit of Spanish, but I need far more practice!
