Buga Ramen Sevilla 2 — Restaurant in Seville

For some reason, when I arrived in Seville, all I wanted was something hot, comforting and spicy. Ramen fit exactly what I was craving. We managed to get a table without much trouble. We ordered a Chicken Teriyaki Ramen and a Tam Tam Ramen, along with kimchi and takoyaki as starters.

The kimchi was served warm instead of chilled from the fridge, which I would have preferred, although it was nicely spicy and the gochujang was full of flavour. The takoyaki was much better than the frozen versions I have tried before, although I am fairly sure it was not homemade.

For my ramen, I asked for spice level 3, which was very manageable and seemed adjusted for European tastes. The noodles were good, the egg was perfectly cooked and the bok choy was a little overcooked.

The drinks were the weakest part of the night. We ordered Japanese cocktails and they were honestly disappointing. The mango and passion fruit ones were far too sweet.

Food was good. Ramen and Gyoza 😋 and a good variety of choice.

Service was very awkward. I know, in Japanese culture is usually the case that they don't spend more time as required in a restaurant. You eat, you pay, you leave.

However, I felt a bit rushed. The store was nearly empty and I would have loved to sit a bit longer and finish my drink..but as I did not want to order postre, they immediately asked me to pay.

They should be trained better to understand that people are in no rush as long as the restaurant is almost empty. It felt a bit as if I should leave immediately after my meal..

The personal also was not very happy and friendly. Despite the food and atmosphere were great.. A smile couldn't hurt 😉

Therefore only 3 stars. They can improve...

This is my second time in one week at this restaurant. I’m only in Spain for one week and that should say a lot. This place has everything. Yummy food, friendly staff, and the most amazing themed decorations. If you are a fan of anime then you must visit this place. The restaurant is decorated so well with characters, figurines, and toys everywhere. The ramen is yummy and the katsu is perfectly crunchy. I had the curry the second time and it was perfect.
