Don't bother. There must be 300 places to eat in Seville and I picked a loser. I don't know what it was, but just off from the start. Sat down outside around 7:30. I'm obviously an American, but speak Spanish well enough - and ordered in Spanish - and my wife is a native speaker. Had to flag down 3 different people who all appeared to be working outside - a surly bartender who served the drinks and a big guy who I thought was our waiter but never came back - but all were absolutely indifferent to whether we received service or not. Saw the same waiter chat up other patrons and never look our way. Never a word of greeting or thanks...or any word at all. Weird. I've traveled everywhere and do my best not to be an ugly American, but I was pretty annoyed by the time I signed the receipt. When my wife finally got their attention for the tab, the big guy have it to another waiter to bring to us. Had my credit card out, but he walked away. Took another 5 minutes to come back with the card reader. The guy held the pen from the tip and hung it in front of my face...same with my card and receipt. So strange. Food was unimpressive. White and tasteless bread. White sangria was good.
I read several other reviews about the terrific service and friendly staff...I wonder what night they work? Is this the...
Read moreHonestly I don’t get the high reviews at all. I was here yesterday looking for a table and it was very full. I feel the outdoor staff are not very friendly and not everyone know the name list system. Most of the staff don’t know English so it’s even more hard to get a table. Today I arrived the restaurant early on purpose. Only 2 staffs were working at the time and which is overwhelmed. I ordered the clams and the risottos and 2 white wine. The clams are VERY TOO SALTY. I understand some foods are more salty for the alcohol but this is not that case. I kindly ask to recook it and it took more than 30min plus ( an unreasonable amount and definitely took more than the clams were served for the first time) and some parts of them still very salty and uneatable after recook…. My servicer is very nice but he is very busy. Lots of flies around my seat. Even one fall into my drinks but they are kind enough to replace one for me. The plus side: (the reason why it is not 1 stars) There were more staffs when I leave. The risotto is quite nice and has all the favours. The wine recommendations are nice that’s why I...
Read moreThe worst service in all of Seville. Hands down the worst service and experience during my stay. Passing by at 11:15, I could see another spanish family sat who only just received menus. I got the impression I would also be welcome to have a quick meal. I asked the waiter politely if I could take a seat his reply was you can sit but the kitchen is closing I have one minute to order, no smile, very rude. The restaurant opening times say midnight. I explained I would only want one or two tapas and I would order straight away. I was ready to order and it was as though these two waiters were doing me the worlds greatest sacrifice by bringing me a cold tapas from 2 metres away, they plonked my drink on the table in a rude manner. I had, had enough of the waiters attitudes and I asked if I could leave. Funnily enough after all that drama the tapas was just on the counter in 30 seconds looking like a plate of dog food. I think I made a lucky escape. With the 100's of restaurants and friendly service in Seville. This is last place you...
