A small, cozy restaurant in Valencia with a lovely interior, perfect for an intimate meal or a relaxed evening out. We started with bread served with tomato and alioli, a classic and tasty combination. The leek appetizer was a real standout, so flavorful and clearly a local favorite. Honestly, who knew a simple leek could taste this incredible? For the main course, we shared a generous steak (cca. 800g), which was perfectly cooked and delicious. However, I was a bit surprised that the only side offered was French fries.🍟 For such a high-quality cut of meat, I would have loved to see more side options, perhaps sweet potato, baked potato, or some veggies, to elevate the dish and match its classiness. 🥩 Dessert was a bit of a letdown. The donut with Kinder Bueno and chocolate ice cream tasted very generic and felt like something from a franchise, rather than a unique creation. 🍩 I wouldn’t really recommend it. The service, however, was fantastic, attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout the evening. There’s definitely room for improvement in the menu, as it sometimes feels like a mix of gourmet dishes and store-bought items, creating a bit of a disconnect in the overall experience. 🤷🏽‍♀️ The bill came to around €140, including a bottle of very good wine. All in all, it’s a lovely spot with some excellent dishes, you just need to choose wisely from the menu. I’d recommend visiting for the atmosphere, great service, and good food. 😊

Amazing and delicate food at Basea Restaurante. We were met by warm and welcoming staff who took time to explain every detail of the menu leading us to choose the best to our liking. We enjoyed food that we had never tasted before or rather in a style we had never tried before. We had no prior reservation, but being a small place I recommend making reservations. At Basea's you pay a little extra, but you won't be disappointed. If you don't like red meat, tell the waiter upon ordering and even after serving. They will gladly cook the meat to your liking. We should have left a tip for the good and caring service. We didn't. Only after walking out the door did we realize this. Next time, we will make sure to do so.

This was without question or doubt the best food we ate in Spain!

The atmosphere was laid back and cozy, this was a restaurant to enjoy company and savor amazing flavors!

The variation was awesome and each dish was something new, there were a few items that we decided to venture to try, and even a few foods we don’t generally like, there was nothing that was mediocre! Every item was exceptionally delicious. Every dish was such a fun experience and had surprising flavors and or textures! I don’t think I could choose a favorite but the most surprising dishes were the Pulpo, I was hesitant to try and was BLOWN away by the flavor and texture! It was amazing. The cheesecake was also a very new take and SO DELICIOUS! We sampled so many things and there was not one item that disappointed! This is a...
