When is dining out like being PUNISHED? The answer; when you dine in Las Adelitas near the Mestalla. Never have I wanted to go home and brush my teeth so quickly after a meal. Taco Bell, not known for their fabulous mexican fare, put Las adelitas to shame. The waitress, very pleasant to be honest, recommended several dishes. However, as they arrived each one was worse. The quesadillas were ok but the nachos (which i would have never ordered but she suggested a small order) were such that I longed for a bag of Doritoes with cheese whiz. The guacamole was green, that is true, but as for a flavour........alas, it had none. At least it matched the cold refried beans smeared at the bottle of the bowl. As for the signature tacos, carnitas I believe. I don't really know anymore, i'm trying so hard to forget. Stringy greasy pork with no spices, only the overwhelming taste of old oil. I literally couldn't eat it. The occasional bone did not help. I half expected to find a forgotten finger or eye. To make matters worse, I told the waitress I couldn't eat it but was it taken off the bill???? Of course not!!!!! The worst margarita i've had in ages topped everything off. The interior is very authentic, which plays a significant role in setting the mood and immersing you in the world of Mexico. The classic margarita is absolutely delicious—I highly recommend trying it. I also gave the strawberry margarita a shot, even though the waiter mentioned it was quite sweet. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re in the mood for what feels like a sugary strawberry purée. In my opinion, the recipe could use some improvement.

The food was decent, but the menu is quite small with limited options. We couldn’t find a main dish that appealed to us, so we opted for several appetizers instead. Some were enjoyable, while others fell short of expectations.

Soy una mexicana que vive en Valencia desde hace 15 años, desde entonces me dedico a buscar restaurantes de comida Mexicana que sean considerablemente aceptables, he ido a muchos, y casi todos tienen sus cosas buenas y malas.

Cosas que no me gustaron de Las Adelitas... a la comida en general le daría (del 1 al 10), un 4. A los sopes les faltó queso por encimaencima y tampoco tenían mucho sabor, pedimos enchiladas con salsa de mole, y el mole no sabía a mole, llegué a pensar que se habían equivocado de salsa, pero la camarera dijo que no; el choriqueso, ni bueno ni malo, como digo, la comida para mi no es de la mejor que he probado y si de la más insípida.

Una cosa que no me gustó nada, es que un mexicano sin salsas y sin limón incluido es como pedir una paella sin azafrán. Te cobran las salsas aparte, ok... puedo entenderlo en cierta manera, aunque 1,80€ por dos cucharas de salsa me parece exagerado, pero bueno! "Lo entiendo". Lo que sí, no me parece aceptable, es, que por una mitad de limón partida en 4 minirebanadas me cobren 1,80€ con eso me compro un kilo, si te cobraran .50€ me sigue pareciendo caro, pero aceptable, aunque pienso que no deberían cobrarlo pues tampoco son cantidades ingentes las que te ponen. Aparte, de que en la carta dice extra de salsa etc..., yo entiendo por extra, algo que se te da y si quieres más te lo cobro, no de primeras, y más, algo básico de la comida mexicana como son la salsa y el limón, en ese aspecto un poco rácanos.

Cosas buenas: regresaría sólo por los postres y el café de olla. A los postres del 1 al 10, les podría un 9.5, por no poner un 10 porque el tamal de lo rico que estaba se me quedó pequeño jeje. Pedimos una chimichanga dulce, lo cual me pareció muy original, o por lo menos no lo había visto en mi vida, y estaba muy buena.
