Restaurante La Tagliatella — Restaurant in Valencia

So the restaurant seemed pretty nice and I’m sure i just picked the wrong thing on the menu or something but i ordered carpaccio and it came with a nice pizza crust to put it on but the carpaccio was absolutely drenched in lemon or citron one of the two but i mean absolutely drenched, i couldn’t taste any of the carpaccio. In the picture i put you see little pools of liquid on the carpaccio and that is lemon juice as well. I couldn’t finish my plate, i was physically incapable and recoiled every time i took a bite because of the sourness.

Im sure the restaurant had very good dishes too tho. My girlfriend had the fungi pizza and she seemed to really enjoy it. The staff was nice as well and the desert was also pretty good she said.

But because i just disliked my dinner so much I couldn’t give more...

This is a chain, so in a sense it's cooking by numbers, but for me they have the numbers right. We had lunch today in the one in Aqua CC in Valencia for the first time; we have been to the one in Gandia on several occasions. The main difference was that the service wasn't as good - our waiter was pleasant, took the order and delivered the plates, but he missed several tricks - checking which dressing for the salad, clean plates for second course etc. The jefe de sala was perfect, except perhaps he isn't training his staff too well. So minor criticism but a really enjoyable lunch - the short wine list is good as well at...

Very unprofessional host. We came in well dressed but we spoked English and the guy told us there is no place for us and obviously it was few places left without reservation signs. We asked when it will be free like in one hour or later and the guy told us there will be no place. Behind us comes Spanish family and he just pointed table for them without asking for name or reservation. Obviously not exclusive Restaurant it’s in the middle of shopping center. We have never experienced something like this… very...
