We’ve been to Italy dozens of times and thought we had already tasted the very best pizza… until we discovered Aqua Pizza in Sri Lanka. What a surprise! Here, we truly had the best pizza of our lives.

The crust was perfectly crisp, the sauce rich and flavorful, and the toppings beautifully balanced – simply a masterpiece. The friendly staff told us the owner is Italian and brought all the secrets of perfect pizza straight from Italy. You can taste it in every bite.

To top it off, we had an amazing espresso and perhaps the best tiramisu we’ve ever had outside of Italy. Everything was made with love and true craftsmanship.

We were at Park Street last night and ordered the bruschetta from Aqual Pizza to our table outside — and what a disappointment it was. We were charged an overrated price for something that wasn’t even close to bruschetta. What we received was just three pieces of plain bread, topped with a cheese that had the consistency of melted plastic, and a few bits of cochchi.There was no flavor whatsoever. No salt no pepper or no seasoning whatsoever. We ate one piece and left the other two untouched. We were really excited to finally enjoy some good European food in Colombo, we found the pizza really subpar didn't look much like the pictures and was really lacking of toppings, we had the sfiziosa pizza and the golosa, both meant to be gourmet pizzas at their highest price range. Although we were informed there was no burrata available for the sfiziosa we were happy to get it but no concession was made to the price or even a little extra mozzarella. The goloza was also lacking of ingredients it didn't have any of the meat of Gorgonzola in every slice. A disappointing dining experience of European food at European prices....
