Pandan Leaf Curry Pot - Crescat — Restaurant in Colombo

The food was really disappointing. To make matters worse, they've actually added food coloring to the curries. I only realized this when I was washing my hands after eating their yellow rice.

I'm a huge fan of Sri Lankan food (just ask my wife). I've tried RnC from plenty of places all over the island, and while some have been a bit lackluster, I've never come across a place that uses food coloring to jazz up their dishes. Seriously?

I'm not looking for a canned apology or a generic email to some customer service inbox. All I'm asking is for them to prepare our beloved cuisine (which put us on the map) the right way. It's not that complicated, and there's really no excuse for it.

Today we bought a yellow rice which cost 1080/= from this restaurant and it had a cockroach in it. I felt appalled and disgusted by the whole incident and It was very sad to see that such a restaurant is careless about their food and customers. Please do not visit or purchase any food from this restaurant until hygienic conditions are re-established up to standards. It should also be mentioned that the restaurant offered a replacement or a refund but I did not accept them as I did not feel like...

Tried the lamprais at Pandan Leaf Curry Pot and overall, the food was good. The lamprais itself was tasty, and the flavors were enjoyable. However, the accompaniments felt a bit limited compared to the amount of rice, and the chicken curry wasn’t quite the authentic lamprais-style curry I was expecting.
