INDIFFERENT SERVICE AND MANAGEMENT

The Cinnamon Grand advertised an afternoon of Jazz on 29th of April starting at 4 pm at the Breeze Bar, so we made reservation expecting to enjoy a good afternoon of music.

We arrived at 4 pm to find the Breeze Bar still being organised and ordered a coffee while we waited for the setup to materialise and the music to start. It had started raining at noon with no let up.

The performers had arrived and they too waited. However no move was made to start the show. The performers said they also had been asked to wait.

When finally it was 6 o clock i managed to track down a cinnamon Grande employee who claimed he was the person in charge of the event. I asked him why the delay. Was it the rain?, if so why was there no plan B initiated to move the stage to the inside of the Breeze restaurant where the band could play in shelter. The rain had started many hours ago and this was the obvious solution. HIS reply was that they were waiting for a crowd and they would start shortly. I asked him why they had consistently advertised the time as 4 pm if they were not going to start at 4.

The performances finally started at 7 but there really was no more of a crowd. While we waited we had appalling slow and disinterested service and left to find better food elsewhere. It seems the Cinnamon Grand is not really interested or geared towards running a star class hotel and its employees lack the energy or ability required to do their jobs. Breeze Bar at Cinnamon Grand - An Excellent Experience

I recently visited Breeze Bar at Cinnamon Grand, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. The atmosphere is relaxing and laid-back, perfect for unwinding after a long day. Gayan and Pasindu, the servers, were outstanding. They were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the evening.

Food: The food was excellent, with a variety of choices that catered to different tastes. Each dish was prepared with precision and had flavors that stood out. The presentation was equally impressive, making the meal as visually appealing as it was delicious.

My personal favorites were their signature cocktails, which had a unique twist that made them stand out.

Service: The service, provided by Gayan and Pasindu, was impeccable. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and always had a smile. They knew the menu inside out, and their recommendations were spot-on. They made sure our drinks were topped up and checked in at just the right moments, which added to the overall fantastic experience.

I have been coming with my friend every week for the past 3 months . Service is below average. It is because the management is not hiring enough staff despite many requests made. Many of my favorite staff have left because of bad management.

The food is not 4 star of 5 star standard. very poor consistency in maintaining taste and standards by the kitchen staff of Breeze bar. This is for a menu with not more than roughly 20 basic items ..

Very friendly staff . And very affordable happy hour deals. Darshana is a very responsible and hard working newly appointed manager. And he would do great things with the right support.

There is lot of room for improvement and i hope that someone responsible finds this review and takes immediate action.
