Inspite of reading atleast 20 to 30 reviews and hunting good places to eat can be a flop was proved by this place.
Although they say all restaurants in famous places and hubs are tourist traps there are a few gems in these places I repeat Burgers'n'Fuel is not one among those.
The seating was warm and cozy and I walked in with no reservations and still managed to get a table. They have very intresting names for all their burgers but they forgot to add taste to any of them. Both the burgers were very mediocre and tasted predominantly of mustard sauce and some other sauce they added. The patty was not frozen so I was hoping it would be fresh and taste good. I was wrong. It tasted like old meat and stale oil. I have a theory and I might be wrong but here goes. All these places that serve alcohol and food bet heavily on the fact that once drunk the taste buds go to sleep and anything hot tastes good. Unfortunately I was not drunk and could taste the stale meat.
All this was still manageable coz u r hungry and u just wana eat something and get out. The final nail in the coffin was delivered by the bloke serving us. When the bill was requested he brought a POS machine with the final amount displayed on the screen, I asked for the detailed bill for which he had to cancel the payment and go back one page. And lo and behold what do you find.... I ordered one coke and he made it two for the bill. When I notified him he brushed it off saying it was a mistake. But once you have travelled a little you know majority of the business try and rip their customers off by any means possible and this was obvious here. The term tourist trap came to mind and I smiled payed for my dinner and walked out wondering Asia or Europe there are scammers everywhere. Its your duty to be mindful of these leeches. I walked 4 shops down the lane to a churro cafe where the guy again tried to rip me off by giving back change short. Sweden is a nice country but all men are selfish and wana screw you over whenever...
Read moreEDIT: I think the owner's reply to this review says everything you need to know about the service in this place. (Quote: "Its very good u get out before i kick u out People like u are not Welcome") What are "people like me"? People that ask about what type of beer they have? What did I say or do? What a disgrace of customer service.
Original comment: I couldn't even get to finish ordering before deciding to leave. Very rude service. It was mostly empty when we entered and we couldn't pick the table, we were told to sit at the window. When ordering, the waiter acted like he was doing us a huge favor by being there and not at home watching TV. When asked what type of beer was a specific item in the menu, he points at another table and says "it's that one"; I asked again "and what type is it?"; "that one, it's right in front of you" (as if I am stupid for not seeing it); "but what type is it? Lager, wheat, IPA, Belgium...?"; with an impatient tone: "Look it's this one right in front of you". I spoke to my friend and we decided to leave. Instead of asking what's wrong and what happened, the answer was "ok, leave, leave";...
Read moreI have been living in Sweden for a while and know how restaurants normally work here, but this place treated us like uninformed tourists. My wife ordered grilled salmon, and I asked for a chicken burger. For drinks, I ordered a tap beer, and my wife asked for water. Instead of serving the usual free tap water, the waiter brought bottled water without even asking – just to add it to the bill. Only after I pointed it out did he finally serve tap water.
The food was a big disappointment as well. We waited about 20–30 minutes, and when it arrived, the “chicken burger” was just a cheap frozen chicken patty, not proper chicken breast. The salmon was also poor quality and definitely not worth 280 kr. Even the beer tasted watered down compared to what I had the day before at another place.
To make things worse, the toilets were dirty. Overall, it felt like a complete tourist TRAP. Paid 500 kr in total for this disappointment . Definitely not...
