Café Stories - Kulturhuset — Restaurant in Stockholm

If you’ve ever wondered what it might feel like to sip a cappuccino somewhere behind the Iron Curtain - minus the suspicion but plus oat milk - this is the place. Café Stories has it all: coffee, beers, mysterious sandwiches that somehow always exist, and an outdoor patio that bravely appears just in time for the two and a half days of Swedish summer.

The vibe is “functional socialist chic meets student union,” but in a comforting way. You can order a beer, sit down with a book, and feel like you’re part of a cultural exchange program - between your slightly tipsy self and the ghosts of 1970s architecture.

All in all, a solid café where you can caffeinate, hydrate (with hops), and contemplate whether life is art - or just an excuse to enjoy another beer before the sun...

This is one cafe which is in the center of everything Stockholm. The cafe was busy when we went there in the afternoon on a Monday. It's a great place to catch up with friends or get a cup of coffee in the middle of your shopping spree.

There are a variety of sweet and savory snacks and drinks. The hot chocolate was rich and creamy. The caffe latte was good as well. The Swedish princess cake was delicious and I would definitely recommend it.
