The name Chokladkoppen has said everything about its signature: chocolate! You’ll be served a large cup, oh sorry, a huge bowl of hot choco mixed with thick milk froth & topped with whipping cream or not (your choice) & lots of cocoa powder as always. Besides its amazing size, the pure high-quality 🍫 used here is the key to minimize the level of sugar, which we’re afraid of at the beginning, to unsweet at all. Apart from that, its cappu & chai latte are also served in the same big size as the choco & their taste’s good enough for coffee- & teaholics.
Chokladkoppen has a shortlist of sweets in which the apple pie is the must & the white chocolate cheesecake is for those who have a sweet tooth! The former is served warm along with a spoonful of lightly sweet vanilla sauce to pair with the sourness of 🍎, whereas the latter is a big piece of a combination between the sweetness white choco in & out & the creaminess of the cheese made of the whole cake. For us, the apple pie is the winner as the other is too sweet for our tongue. But if you like something sweet to pair with your bitter coffee or choco, it’s not a bad idea! 😎
The last reason is the affordable price of Chokladkoppen, though we didn’t remember the exact total amount that we paid there… 🥲
Through our review, we do really hope that you should throw away the stereotype of restaurants located in tourist hotspots & could fully enjoy your trip in the most preserved heritage area in Sthlm from now on! 😋
Chokladkoppen’s also one of the check-in hotspots in the Old Town due to the fact that it’s on the ground floor of the two historically colorful houses 🏘. Ppl say that one hasn’t been in Sthlm if he/she doesn’t have any photo with them! After all, we don’t see any reasons to not have a coffee break at Chokladkoppen. Remember to wear different colours from the houses to have more attractive pics!

Read moreI visited this café on Sunday, August 18th, around noon. As a cappuccino lover, I was excited to try theirs and ordered it along with some tarts. While the tarts were delicious, I was disappointed with the size of the cappuccino—it was much smaller than I expected. I politely asked the server (a lady) about it, and she responded bluntly that this was their standard size and if I had an issue, I should speak to her boss.
Later, I wanted to order tea because I wanted something more substantial to drink. While doing so, I asked another staff member why the cappuccino was so small. The same server, who overheard the conversation, suddenly interrupted, saying, "I told you to talk to my boss!" When I asked who the boss was, she informed me that he wasn't there and that she was the manager. When I explained that I was a tourist and wouldn’t be able to come back later, she sarcastically suggested I return the next day to speak with him, laughing and behaving in an extremely disrespectful manner.
I was shocked by this unprofessional behavior and chose not to engage or argue further. I asked a different staff member for the bill, as I didn’t want to deal with the rude server any longer. When I mentioned that I would be leaving a negative review, the response I received was dismissive, as if my feedback didn’t matter.
Overall, the experience left me feeling deeply upset—not because of the cappuccino size, but because of the disrespectful behavior from the staff. It’s disappointing when a café with good reviews allows such treatment to damage...
Read moreI had quite a scary situation at the cafe. It could have been worse, but for sure it could have been avoided.
Minutes after I left my coat on the rack, it catched fire from a candle that was close to it (not directly underneath, but the coat somehow moved and then it catched fire). When this happened, another client acted quickly and told me what was happening, so I could put out the fire. Sadly my coat was ruined, but this is not the reason that disappointed me.
The people that worked at the cafe were not suprised by this. They even told me that this happened almost every day "sometimes it's an scarf, sometimes its a backpack, today it was your coat".
At the moment I was in shock so I could not even get angry at them, but I suggested having more security for the fire, just in case anything worse (maybe someone getting hurt for real) happens. Suggestion they declined.
I am not angry about my coat getting ruined. I am disappointed about a store that not only does nothing to help or try to mend mistakes that happen at their place under their responsibility (yes, they didn't even try to say sorry, apologize to us or invite us for a coffee as a compensation), but does not care about the safety of their clients.
I usually don't like leaving bad reviews, but the real intention of this one is to try to avoid real accidents...
