I was very outraged by my experience at this shop. I went in to purchase a few souvenirs, three items to be exact, and after I paid I noticed the shop owner putting a small key chain in my bag, which was’t one of my souvenirs. I informed him of this and he said that I had directed him to include that in the bill, which I did not. I kindly asked if that could be taken off the bill and he forcefully told me no, that he couldn’t help me and, “if I would have paid in cash, maybe I could do something.”
I thought I saw that the key chain was only 16 kr and decided it wasn’t worth the fight. I left the store abruptly. However, I took a moment on the street to look at the bill and noticed that he charged be 69 kr for the item. That is when I felt cheated and decided to be adamant about getting my money back.
When I confronted him, he told me to just “take something” as if another item would make me happy. I refused and asked for my money back again. This is when I was told that there is a no refund policy and that he “wasn’t able to do it since I paid with card.” This is a total lie. Simple as that.
I kept saying that I wanted my money back and we had an exchange of words. I was then told that my voice level and the fact that I was “an American” was a part of the issue. He kept saying to me, “A Swedish person would never do this!” And kept repeating to me “Do you understand that you are loud and that you need to lower your voice? Do you understand?”
Finally, after my friend intervened with some Swedish and I told him that I would not leave until I was refunded, he begrudgingly gave me the 69 kr (in cash) back.
I have never felt more belittled and ignored by any type of sales person or shop owner before. I am shocked that a small key chain lead to an exchange of words about my nationality and my right as a customer to have a refund after a clear mistake by the cashier, something that was completely out of my control.
I hope that this owner takes a good look at his policies and tries, in the future, to treat his customers with more respect. Since this was my experience, I highly recommend to anyone visiting this store to be mindful of what is on the counter and to make sure this doesn’t happen to them because it’ll be a fight to correct the...
Read moreThe man at the register was perfectly fine but the man with the bandana and beard working at the store around 3-5 should realize that just because he doesn't want to work doesn't mean he should make it everyone else's issue. Me and my girlfriend touched one shirt to check the print for damage and quality and were immediately told by staff that the shirts were visible up top. Firstly, not all of them were, and secondly, why is it wrong to check the quality of an item before buying it? Afterwards, he continue to hover us for the next five minutes as if he were assuming we were planning to steal. What his problem was, I don't get. Judging by the reviews, the guy who will see this likely won't care and write an essay to say something against my experience here. I ain't reading all that. Just posting here for the sake of anyone else who thinks...
Read morehorrible customer service, gave us attitude when we wanted to see the size of the shirt. said “do not open up the folded shirt” 🙃 we wanted to get a bag as well and asked if there’s a new one. he stood there and rolled his eyes, pointing to the stocks that were at the bottom.
saw the various bad reviews about the customer service after i left this place, i guess this place does not improve on it though their replies to those bad reviews seem to say they are trying to improve. maybe try harder by hiring other more...
