Enoteca & Cucina Italiana — Restaurant in Stockholm

This was our first time dining at this restaurant. Server had a mocking attitude because we were trying to calculate a tip and my daughter stated that we were still trying to get use to the currency exchange versus USD as we had only been here less than a month. The server was condescending. She also rolled her eyes when I asked for grated Parmesan to go on my pizza. She seemed to treat other guests more respectfully and warmly. Door was left open to the restaurant and smoke from people smoking outdoors ruined the meal. To make matters worse, she charged use an incorrect VAT. I did not notice this until I looked at my bank account transactions the next day. VAT in Sweden should be 12% on restaurant food when no alcohol is purchased. My daughter and I did not order alcohol but yet we were charged over 20% VAT. This is illegal. We have since contacted the restaurant to refund the VAT excess and have heard nothing yet. Not sure if this was a one off mistake or part of an ongoing practice with this establishment. I would avoid this place as there are better restaurants...

I walked in on Sat Nov 12 2021; the place was about 75 % full, and it was about 7:30 pm so it did not feel like it was going to get busier. The waiter told me to, “sit there, and I will clean of a table for you.” So I waited. There were three tables for two people. After 5 min, he showed me to one right at the end of a bench about 0.5 meter from 4 people talking. I don’t think they wanted me sitting so close, and I did not want to either. So I stood up and asked quietly if I might have one of the other tables, I could wait longer. The waiter simply nodded to the first table and said, “You can sit over there.” In other words, take it or leave it. I walked out, and will never return. The Greek place right next door has wonderful food, it’s cheaper, and they are very polite. Even the stunningly beautiful waitress smiled at an old dog like me; I recommend that...

Stopped by to have a quick dinner to end the evening. This restaurant is close to the hotel I was at and after reading a a few reviews on the risotto I wanted to give it a try.

I could smell the garlic cooking once I place the order, and I was getting excited as the dish was being prepared. A short wait later and the dish was served. The risotto was fantastic!

I had a small app to start and finished with a Tiramisu. Portion sizes were perfect for me.
