Warhammer — Local services in Stockholm

This was my first time experiencing a Warhammer hobby store as we have none like it in my country. I was lucky enough to visit on the first Saturday of the month, when you can try to paint and build a model of your own for free.

I cannot overstate how excellent is the staff!! Motivated, friendly and helpful. Their enthusiasm is catchy and it is treat to hear them blow other patrons mind with lore tidbits or just help them with shopping to finish their collection.

It is an expensive hobby for sure, but it has so many avenues to get involved with, and the staff helps you try and find which one you can start. From the vast lore (good and bad novels), collecting minis, building, painting, playing.. and through all these, socializing.

The place was PACKED for hours during my visit! Really awesome first experience!

Centrally located in Stockholm with demo tables but without capacity for regular play or painting.

Lots of inspiring and beautifully painted models on display and there's the selection of products you would expect.

Unfortunately the staff are quick to leap out the woodwork and approach you with their used-car salesman antics. I didn't expect much else, what I didn't expect was passive-aggressive behavior when I said I wasn't excited about all the new developments. I guess I will stick to my "old and boring games" then.

If you know what it is, then you understand the grade. If you don't it's for grownups who never really grew up and wants to glue miniatures together and fight imaginary battles with them. It's also great for kids as they will never afford drugs with this hobby. If you are a grown-up who wants do do stuff at home with your kids , it's a great hobby, you can dip your toe in and get a stand alone game or dive in and get their main titles.
