As a bubble tea place overall, it is quite decent. However, I have mixed feelings about other aspects of this place.
The positive facts: Opening hours. The place is open until 9PM on Fri/Sat, which makes it a good option to stop by after most shops have closed around the city. We came to visit precisely because it was open after 8PM. Menu selection. Many choices, both for drinks and desserts. Their mochi and cakes look and taste very nice. Prices. Compared to other bubble tea places in the city, it seems like the cheapest one. Adding extra ingredients brings prices to same levels as the rest. The dessert prices are better than other cafƩs, considering also the fact they have unique flavours as well.
The areas they can improve: Drink flavour. We have tried a few options on the menu, e.g. classic oolong tea, bubble zang zang tea, matcha, etc. The flavour is neither impressive nor enjoyable. For a place called āoolong tea houseā I would expect them to have impressive oolong tea. I was met with the disappointment of a misbalanced water-tea ratio. It was very watery and tasteless. Sweetness level. Yes, you can choose how much sugar you want in your tea. But it is not so representative of reality. Expect sweeter option than what you choose. The āless sugarā is very sweet, felt like āregular sugarā. The bubble tea zang zang āless sugarā was too sweet, we had to add sugarless classic tea to it and mix them together to be able to drink it. Beware of black sugar pearls, as they are also very sweet. Better go for the normal pearls and less sugar, or no sugar with b.s. pearls.
I give them 4 stars to encourage them to improve. I hope they take constructive feedback seriously. It is nice to see more bubble tea places popping up...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe tea and desserts tasted very good. But there's a lot that can be improved based on my experience here. The day I came to this boba place, the weather was cloudy and its getting cold. We thought we would receive warm teas but the teas were cold when served. The price list does not show the price for large portions. But when we ordered tea, the staff suddenly asked us if we want to have normal cup or large cup. It cost 10 kr which was no big issue for us but its a bit irritating that it was not explicitly included in the price list. After we made an order we realized that we could choose for example less sugar or less ice, but we didn't receive such questions. They put a notification at the cashier, however it's easy to be ignored. The desserts are served with plastic package, which made it cumbersome to cut the cake into small pieces. We didnt find any plates in the store. Seems there's no toilet. My hand got sticky after opening the package but I found nowhere to wash my hand...
