I would have given it 3 stars but I heard that it’s a Taiwanese establishment. I wouldn’t want to ruin its rating. This is likely the closest thing I’ve ever gotten to yakiniku in Swesen yet it’s still very different from yakiniku from Japan. Maybe I should be more appreciative that it even exists at all in Sweden.
The yakinuku sauce feels almost like Korean style but not in a traditional Korean sort of way, in a Korean restaurant trying to make Japanese food sort of way. The atmosphere is very authentic Japanese looking. The salad’s kind of swimming in the dressing. The corn and baby corn for grill are preboiled, not fresh. Is this meant to be Korean? No kimchi or garlic came with the main, hardly felt Korean at all. If it were Korean, I’d expect thicker meat like kalbib or something marinated to be on the menu.
The waitress told us to get one order of children’s menu for my dauggter who is 5 without letting us know how much the children’s menu was. The adult menu already came with so much meat and nothing else. We ended up with very much meat that we couldn’t finish. Wish we had ordered just one adult menu.
We had a little bit too much expectation. It looked like it’d be great from the outside. From actual experience, things like the ventilation could use a bit of tweaking. No grease is available to lube the grill pan, the grilling became a challenge after a while. It was do-able but it was testing my skill. It wasn’t the most relaxing yakiniku experience. The waiter seemed super nice, but a piece of grease or foil would have come in handy. It was really too bad, I was looking for authenticity but did not...
Read moreAppalled by the low quality of service and ingredients. The vegetarian option is a joke, and the meat was just about ok.
The vegetarian option had almost zero protein, three small cubes of tofu, and vegetables that were going off, with broccoli turning brown (!). When I enquired about it I was met with a deadpan face saying this is how they always serve it and no one has ever complained. I ask if I can get more tofu but they tell me the tofu is very expensive (It’s not) and more expensive than the meat, so they can’t give me more. This really makes me question the quality of their meat… they try to find some fresh broccoli, but come back and tell me as it’s a bank holiday the next day they haven’t received any shipments so they don’t have any fresh vegetables. Nothing apologetic about it and no attempts to offer anything else. I ended up sending it back and paying 200kr for a side salad and left hungry.
You pay for the novelty of the hot-pot experience, but the quality of the food and the service is poor. There are plenty of great restaurants on this street, do yourself a favour and give...
Read moreFood: just ok. It is not authentic Asian grill I would say. We had bbq and tried different meat and sauces, neither of them was my taste. Price: hmmm, a little pricey. For each portion of meat(200g), it costs about at least 220 kr depending on which meat you ordered. Although rice and a small bowl of salad were included, 200g meat was not too little to get full. You also need to pay about 40kr for source(dip)😂 Service: we had very bad experience in the service from one lady. We made a reservation for 4 people, but another friend joined us spontaneously. As there was not big table available, we put a chair next to our table so that our friend and sit together with us. Then a lady came and showed a long face to us, complained that we were standing in her way. Even though we was doing something improperly, I think we deserved politeness and friendliness. She even did not think of trying to help us solve problems, and she just asked us to move the chair out of the way. But the later two waitress and waiter (with Asian faces) are really nice and friendly. All in all, I will never...
