a welcome find for an excellent meal in Stockholm. Beautiful interior, very personable and helpful staff, and vast tapas menu. We have done Spanish tapas in Spain and elsewhere and we know what we like so it was fairly easy to choose our bites here.
choices were-Potatas con Aioli-perfectly deep fried potato wedges with silky Aioli. The crispy outside and creamy inside made these a big favorite. Champinones al Ajillo-mushrooms sauteed in white wine and garlic. also delicious but a danger to your mouth if you don't let them cool a bit. Pan con Tomate-a decent version but the flavor was lacking we felt in the tomatoes and very little garlic. also sprinkled with cilantro. beware. Albondigas-meatballs in tomato sauce. nice flavor profile for the meatballs. the sauce while listed as spicy was just nicely herby. Croquetas de Pollo-deep fried bundles of flavor. Chicken with Serrano Ham. wonderful. Croquetas de Gambas-not quite as flavorful as the chicken version but still tasty. Pincho de Gambas-Skewered scampi with sweet chili and chili aioli. We ordered the chili aioli on the side fortunately. still a bit spicy for us with the seasoning on the shrimp. Only two shrimp per order. Ceviche de Gamba-Ceviche with tiger prawns, avocado, dill, lime & chili. Being still a bit hungry, I chose to test my limits on eating spicy and ordered this. Love ceviche but many times I am unable to enjoy it with my low spice tolerance. interestingly, served with no chips or bread. alas I was unable to endure this and the most gracious staff kindly removed it from our bill. Stockholm is a very expensive-in our opinion-place to visit and dine so our meal netted out to over $100 usd with no alcohol. If that works for you you'll experience a most enjoyable meal here in a warm atmosphere....
Read moreI would give this place a 2.5... most of the food was very good and very well seasoned. Some fell pretty flat like the nachos but otherwise I enjoyed my food. The service however was just terrible. Our waitor seemed annoyed we were there from the first help even though it was full of other diners and he always took a very long time to circle back. However when it came time to pay our bill it took literally 45 minutes and four times of asking to get it. At one point we stopped another waitor to ask for it, we watched him tell our waitor who was in conversation at the bar and he glanced over and went back to talking with his friends. Overall just a really rude server would make me not return. The chefs deserve the tips...
Read moreWe just stumbled upon this place and were just drawn to it. No idea what inside looks like but the outside seating was nice. The staff were really helpful and gave us menus while we waited for a table (Saturday evening was packed, would recommend booking). They helped us pick out some options and their honesty was refreshing - they steered us away from “basic” things and gave great recommendations, not just the more expensive dishes. Fair prices for the quality. Food came super fast. Highly recommend the sangria and calamari (home made...
