The Auld Dub — Restaurant in Stockholm

Nice place, probably even more if you're a really-into-sports kind of guy. We had reservations for a after work event just yesterday, and this is my first time being here. I soon felt that all the Irish people that for some reason were in Sweden this day had settled in this bar, this evening. There was some rugby championship match (ENG-FJI) on the television and every time England scored there was this really audible sound going around the facility. It was clear that people had really gathered there for a real reason. When ordering from the bar, I also noticed that the bartender spoke Irish. Nearly the whole place were Irish, it felt. Me and my lady have just finished first season of "The Fall" so this, of course, made things extra exciting. I’m leaving 3 stars as I had a very mixed experience.

I came here for the pub quiz on a Monday, which was great. The guy hosting played live music and he was really good (it was a music quiz). I didn’t have food, only drinks, so can’t comment on the quality of the food, but I did find the menu a bit limited.

The girls working in the bar were so helpful and lovely, amazing service!

However, the manager was a real piece of work. He was rude and condescending to me several times, judged me for coming to the quiz alone - said I should “make more friends” (I’m here as a tourist). I also took real offense in how he spoke to his staff, he was really aggressive towards the women especially. Therefore I would...

Rude guards and they only care about money. We were nine friends, we all bought drinks and none of us was drunk. They wanted to empty the seats so did not let one of us to be back in when he went for smoking and they said he is drunk. He was definitely not drunk and was completely sober. They did not let him in just because they knew we will all leave if one of us is not allowed to be back. Spoke to them and they were just saying we decide not you. Right before we leaving there were people who were ready and came to take our seats. So obvious that they did this only due to making more money and they knew we are english speakers.
