I really love the place. I stayed at Stockholm for 4 days and came here three times. The first time I’ve been to the restaurant, I was recommended to try the Kajsas Fish Soup (which includes shrimp, clam and herring, and a hot flavoured broth) and it was extremely great. I tried a lot of food for my first day in Stockholm but the soup gived me more Asian taste than any food I have ever tried in Stockholm (except the mayonnaise, it was sweet and tasty, yet a bit different for me because I didnt take it with soup before in my life). Next day, I tried the soup again without the mayonnaise, and I felt it way better than before. Personally, I felt like, the soup is actually more Asian if we dont put the mayonnaise sauce inside (remember to tell them not to put it in).
The next time here, I tried octopus rings and french fries. It was good but I found nothing so special about this dish. However, the rings and fries are crunchy and they were even better with the sauce. They combined them really well. By the way, breads and vegetables are all free so you can have many servings if you want. They will stock them up regularly.
One (small) minus is that this place is located inside a fish market (or a large food court I dont really know the place) so their space is limited, sometimes in peak hours, you may expect to share the tables with others. If you dont mind that, I believe this place will not...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant because we heard they had the best fish soup in Sweden, and they did not disappoint! We were lucky and arrived before the rush of people, and we didn't have to wait in line. As a party of 2, we shared the fish soup, as well as an order of fish and chips. We were also surprised at the free bread and salad station by the entrance. We definitely took advantage of the bread and tried out both flavours of salad dressings (both were delicious!).
Onto the main courses, the fish soup was aromatic and tomato-ey, and packed with seafood. This would have been enough for both of us to share with some bread and salad. The yellow sauce on top of the soup (I'm not sure what it's called) added even more creaminess and flavour to the soup, but sadly, we only realized that after we were mostly finished with the soup. For the next time, we would make sure to mix it in at the very start.
Onto the fish and chips, we thought the fish tasted very fresh (it was light, flaky and not dry), however, I don't believe it was the best use of our stomach space from this restaurant. It was good, but not extraordinary.
Ultimately, I do believe that the fish soup is a must-try from this little restaurant on the lower floor of a food hall. Our overall experience dining here was extremely pleasant and comforting, and I would love to bring my friends here if we ever visited...
Read moreI would give zero star if I could. The service is low and the staff is rude. My friend was in line waiting to order for both of us while I sat down in a table to wait for her. A extremely rude lady approached me and questioned me whether I have ordered. After responding to her that my friend is already near the check out like to order, she coldly responded that we should only seat down after ordering. I saw other tables literally doing the same without being questioned. I mean there were empty tables and seats still. I don’t get it why I could not wait by the table. Should everyone in every group just stand in line and make the line even more overwhelming? Moreover, the line was so slow because the cashier was responsible for taking order, making drinks and juggling with serving soups. It is a very inefficient operation. Anyways, extremely disappointed by the service. I honestly don’t know if they are purposefully rude to tourists. Regarding the food, the fish soup was okay but the fried herring was kind of...
