You would not expect that level of cuisine, that type of genuine hospitality, such a fantastic wholesome package, at this unique location. A fantastic star in Basel is shining beyond expectation, and far beyond Basel! Knowing the location from the former owner, the setting apart with this management and serving in the most guest centric manor is among the best I experienced world wide. Absolute class combined with a chef's ability to make the good reach perfection. A wine list with a great attitude, without the ambition to be all and everything, but with an excellent selection of top, middle and affordable wines, with great class, again. Recommended, yes, by a mile ahead of so many famous names.

Ein Stübli ist es wahrlich im Albanquartier, fühlt man sich wenn man rein kommt doch leicht in die Vergangenheit versetzt. Im Sommer öffnen Sie den Hinterhof der angenehm kühl ist in den warmen Tagen. Die Begrüssung ist herzlich und man kommt kaum darum sich ein Apero zu gönnen. Ein Blick in die Karte errät, das hier mit Finesse gekocht wird. Die Zusammenstellung der Ingredienzien lässt einem das Wasser im Mund zusammenlaufen. Die offenen Weine passten gut zu den Gängen, auch wenn mir persönlich der rote Hauswein ein wenig einfach daher kam. Das essen war ausgezeichnet, vom Gruss aus der Küche im Stein serviert bis hin zum Basler Leckerli auf der Basler Trommel. Wie zu erwarten, war das essen mit einer gewissen Rafinesse gekocht. Wer einmal gerne Taube probieren will, sei hier herzlich eingeladen. Der Service begleitete einem zuvorkommend durch den Abend. Ein eingespieltes Team durch und durch. Für mich ein kleiner geheimer Tipp in Basel, und ein "must" für Gourmets! Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Very good food and service in an enjoyable atmosphere. The menu offers typical Swiss dishes in a modern and very nice presentation. Good variety of drinks and interesting wine list! Definitely worth a visit!

Simply had an incredible meal here for our anniversary. Very welcoming and helpful staff and some of the best food we've had in Switzerland. Of course, it wasn't cheap but totally worth the experience.

Lovely restaurant located in a quiet part on Basel. The food was simply exquisite, and the service impeccable. Great wine selection as well. It was a real pleasure, will definitely go back.
