Extremely disappointed. Was so looking forward to dining here as my first meal in Switzerland because of how highly rated this place is and all the good reviews I’ve read. I’m giving 2 stars not because the food was bad. In fact the roasted baby chicken was very delicious, and that’s why I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1.
I’m giving 2 stars because the service we received was horrendous and extremely disrespectful. We asked if they serve tap water from the waiter/restaurant manager, and made it very clear that what we wanted was TAP water (afterall, water is freely available at fountains all around Switzerland). We were not told that they do not serve that here in this restaurant, and were served a bottle of chargeable water instead. Before we could even clarify if the bottle of water was chargeable, he had already opened it and poured into the cups. And when we did clarify that we had asked for tap water and not bottled water, he insisted that we should know that there’s no such thing as tap water in Interlaken and that we hadn’t mentioned that we wanted tap water in the first place.
Such misunderstandings happen all the time, but what he said next was unacceptable. When we said that we are very sure that we had asked specifically for Tap water, he said, and I quote, “of course you would say that!” while walking off to pour away the water. That was honestly disrespectful and an insult to anyone’s integrity, an accusation that never should have been made even outside of this context.
Even after confronting him about what had happened, all I got in return were excuses and contradictions about what had happened, not a sincere apology. I understand that the bottled water can’t be kept and served to another customer, and I would have been okay with paying for it anyway.
The altercation turned what would have been easily a good review and a really enjoyable dinner into a really unpleasant evening. I anticipate a different side of the story from the restaurant as a response but I have no incentive to lie about what...

From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted with genuine warmth by the owner, whose friendliness and attentiveness set the tone for the evening.
The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the fondue. Rich, creamy, and expertly seasoned, it was a true representation of Swiss culinary tradition. Each bite was a delightful blend of flavors that made it evident the ingredients were of the highest quality. The accompanying bread and potatoes were fresh and perfectly suited for dipping, complementing the fondue beautifully.
In addition to the outstanding food, the service was impeccable. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and offered insightful recommendations that enhanced our dining experience. Their professionalism and attention to detail ensured that we felt well taken care of throughout the evening.
