One of the best Indian curries (I had Kadhai chicken) made Punjabi style I have tasted in a long time. Was shocked that I would get it in Interlaken. The chef Irfan was too good - respected my desire to have spicy desi style. He even came out to ask me. I also took a walk down the street and there were already 5-7 Indian/Pakistani restaurants and not a single person on any one of them while India Tandoori was bustling and had a wait. This says it all. Irfan and Younis bhai - you rock. Hope to come again. Keep cooking such food for us and making us feel at home. MUST visit. Now I see why these guys are 4.9 stars.

This meal was hands down one of the homiest and well done Indian meals I’ve had outside of India. It really felt like we were in the motherland. Ambiance is busy but so loving! I have allergies to jeera and kasoori methi and upon ordering, the chef personally came out to double check my needs and proceeded to custom make both my items from scratch. He spent longer making it but literally was unbelievably well done. My husband and I devoured a garlic naan, normal naan, aloo palak, Chana masala and ordered a raita midway through. Totally would come back here even with just 5 days in Interlaken

Small little restaurant with a few dining tables. They also allow dog in which is nice for fur parents. We came in when the store wasn’t busy , which we were lucky. Pretty close to the food we had / cooked at home but less spices compares to the stores in the Us. We ordered a few dishes and the mango lassi . The chutney were mint and tamarind and that was complementary along with water. The owner is very friendly . We walked pass a few other restaurants and noticed this is the busiest one ( there were people waiting shortly after we came in) . Will definitely come back.

We visited this restaurant during our visit to Interlaken. Authentic Indian taste from dishes were missing, we had ordered Aloo gobhi, Paneer sabji & roti. I don’t know why so many Non Indian restaurant owner promotes their venture as an Indian restaurant, may be to draw an attention of more Indian tourists? You get less vegetarian options here, but we were happy to see that they serve Jain menu too. Staff was very much attentive & sweet, we had an issue with one dish & it was instantly changed. Service was top notch. Food prices were reasonable according to Swiss.

If you want to avoid the tourist trap restaurants and try flavourful, authentic Indian food that tastes delicious and is served with a smile - this is the place in Interlaken for best Indian food. The hosts want to make sure that you eat well and feel at home. Highly recommend this if you are travelling with family (Indian parents who want home style food). We make it a point to eat here everytime we are in Interlaken and they never disappoint. Tip for a rainy day: come ask for a garam cup of adrak chai (ginger tea) and they will make it for you with lots of love.

*** DONT BE FOOLED BY THe REVIEWS *** They desperately ask you to rate , give you the google scanner once after your meals are over and tell you to give rating … We basically went to this restaurant based on google reviews , It’not worth your money and not worth your time .. We ordered roti and a curry but first time it was served with a dead fly on the roti , later after informing the waiter they gave us this roti , just look at the picture … HORRIBLE I WONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANY INDIAN OR NON INDIAN COMING TO INTERLAKE…
