Brasserie 17-Happy Inn Lodge — Restaurant in Interlaken

Brasserie 17 in Interlaken is the kind of place that instantly makes you feel at home. We came here on the recommendation of our kayak guide, and it turned out to be one of the best dining decisions of our trip. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with just the right balance of laid-back and lively. From the moment we stepped inside, the bartender greeted us with genuine friendliness and was incredibly helpful in walking us through the menu.

We ended up trying the Spätzligratin Hubertus, and wow—it was absolutely incredible. Rich, flavorful, and comforting, it’s the kind of dish you’ll think about long after your trip is over. Pair that with an ice-cold beer, and you’ve got the perfect meal. Drinks were poured just right, the quality was excellent, and the prices were refreshingly reasonable for Interlaken.

If you’re visiting and want an authentic experience that combines delicious food, cold drinks, and welcoming service, Brasserie 17 should be at the top of your list. It’s a great place to eat like a local, relax after a day of adventure, or simply enjoy one of the best bar-restaurants in Interlaken....

AVOID!!! Food: Food was terrible, we ordered paradise ribs. The ribs was tasteless and wasn’t tender at all. Even Supermarket ready cook ribs would be much more nicer than it!!! Fries were literally over fried and looked like burned. Fries taste normal tho looked burned. Cheese fondue had strong alcohol flavour, personally do not prefer. Most importantly we as the foreigner were treated very very RUDE. While we told the waiter we were ready to order, the waiter said, they were busy and have no time to take order, and they said the reserved customer can take order first while the customer just replied they were not ready before we asked. Still they refused to take our order. Service: Eventually we 4 people ordered tap water, paradise rib and cheese fondue, and was charged extra 8CHF for 2 headcounts without ordering a main. This was not informed in advance!!! We would be fine if there’s a charge, but with inform!!! A charge without informing is a SCAM. Highly not recommend this...

The best restaurant in Interlaken out of the six my parents and I visited on our vacation. I'm not sure why this place has so few reviews. My father and I both had the plate Magnificent Mix plate with spare ribs, wings, corn-on-the-cob, and fries, and my mother had a grilled chicken breast with assorted salads. My mother acclaims her chicken to have been good, but the assorted salads phenomenal and tasty. For the meal my father and I enjoyed, everything was phenomenal, including the "spicy" cocktail sauce. I typically dislike cocktail sauces, but this one was superb in all aspects, and not really spicy. The wings and ribs were lightly covered with a very tasty smoky and sweet glaze.
