BEWARE IF YOU ARE TOURISTS.
Went to this place at 6.40pm-6.45pm -ish local Switzerland time today at 11 June 2024 and ordered from an old elderly Indian uncle in his 60s. I assume that he must be a worker. I ordered a meatball with rice and I saw the menu picture that it’s with vegetables and I believe carrot??? old uncle said that he can made it without vegetable and the menu picture is just for illustration and said it would be ready in 10 minutes. Before hand, I jokingly asked whether we could get a discount. Old uncle said , “here is Switzerland MAAAMMM.”
Food was more than 10 minutes but WE BOTH ARE OK AND POLITE ABOUT IT since he brought our food to the table and said “Enjoy your fooooooddd” Upon receiving the order, I was astonished as to why my meatball with rice was with vegetables.
I went back to the store and told the old uncle that I requested my food without vegetables and weirdly he said, “Maaaaam if you don’t want the vegetables you can removeee it maammmm” And I repeated the same again. WEIRDLY the elderly uncle said, “MAAAM IT’S MY PLEASURE TO PUT VEGETABLES IN YOUR FOOD” what is that? I hope his sanity is ok.
Previously, my mother in law who came here and also said that she had experienced horrible service from the same elderly uncle. Is it because we are Eurasian Singaporeans and came as tourists?
This is my first time experiencing such horrible service in Switzerland from a stall that sells Asian food. He even asked where we came from. Does it matter? I’m still a human.
As ego as you are elderly uncle, today you cheat my money. There will be a period of time the same thing will happen to you. I won’t forgive and accept that my money is...
Read moreI had lamb madras, naan & rice - and the naan was more like paratha than anything. Was extremely disappointing as I am of Asian descent and wanted an actual Naan which is cooked inside tandoor and smoothered with ghee (Clarified butted). The lamb madras gravy was decent but the lamb is frozen and basically cooked for few minutes in the gravy before serving and the amount of times I had to spit the ginger stems out was ridiculous (surely thinly cut them?). Now onto the rice - pink rice which was soggy and basically left to the side as inedible. I am making this comparison as I have Asian food everywhere and in the UK the level of Indian food is so much higher. Also I went to this place based off the other reviews for example Muhammad Yasir comment who raved it’s one of the best in Europe lol surely you havernt been to the UK Indian restaurant then.
The owner is friendly and does his best to accommodate you but figured as he knows French can get close and friendly with the locals and entice them to leave good reviews.
I want to apologise for leaving this review as the owner does care and try his best to make the food but I have to be honest in my review based off my experience and observation.
Use if you need to get a quick and simple spice in your life, but would not...
