Holy Cow! Gourmet Burger Co. Zürich Löwenstrasse — Restaurant in Zurich

I’ve been a regular customer here for a long time, and the staff is usually very kind, but tonight (2 February at 19:45) was a completely different experience. I ordered just a burger, but they gave me the full menu instead. I didn’t notice the mistake at first, and when the cashier (a man) asked me a question, I had to ask him to repeat it because I’m hard of hearing. Instead of responding with patience, he repeated himself in a frustrated tone and told me to move aside because I was “standing in front of the line for too long”—even though there was no one behind me.

As someone who comes here often, I was shocked by the rudeness and dismissive attitude, especially when the place wasn’t even busy. Mistakes happen, but treating customers this way is unacceptable. After this experience, I no longer feel welcome and won’t be returning

Update: My friend went in for a burger and showed his Student ID for something that apparently did not qualify for the discount. The man at the counter asked my friend if he “even could read German.” It was the same guy who treated me in an unkind way.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Holy Cow, and I must say it has quickly become my absolute favorite restaurant. From the moment you walk in, the elegant atmosphere sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The interior is tastefully decorated, with a refined yet welcoming ambiance that makes you feel both relaxed and pampered. The food is nothing short of outstanding. Every dish I tried was prepared with incredible attention to detail and bursting with flavor. You can tell that only the highest quality ingredients are used, and the presentation is as beautiful as the taste. Whether you're in the mood for something rich and indulgent or light and fresh, their menu has something for everyone and every bite is unforgettable. What really sets Holy Cow apart, though, is the impeccable service. The staff is highly professional, friendly, and incredibly efficient. I was impressed by how fast everything was brought to the table without ever feeling rushed. Cleanliness is also clearly a top priority here. Every corner of the restaurant, from the dining area to the restrooms, was spotless.

I’m writing this review because I had a very disgusting experience and it got totally dismissed by the staff. Maybe they will care more if I say it here.

Just ate dinner here and while I was chewing on the burger I felt something like a hard rock in my mouth. I took it out to see what it is and it was a small sharp and hard object in the beef patty. It looked like a small tooth or a chipped bone. It completely ruined my appetite and I was also a bit shocked because it could’ve injured me if I hadn’t noticed it. I went to the workers to show it and he replied that “It’s definitely not a tooth” (I never told him that it was one, but the fact that he thought it looked like one without me saying it, wasn’t very soothing). He told me it’s a piece of bone and that he would tell the kitchen. No apologies either, as if this was completely normal. When he showed the kitchen staff they looked very shocked, which was proof that they know it shouldn’t have happened. The staff just left and did not come back to me.

They do not serve gourmet burgers and they do not care about customers.
