John Baker is by far my favorite spot in Switzerland. I love reading a book at this café while watching people pass by on the street. And honestly, being able to enjoy a cup of coffee for just six francs on one of the most expensive streets in the world feels almost impossible anywhere else.
I often go for the pain au chocolat and cinnamon rolls—they’re fresh, delicious, and always satisfying. The atmosphere is clean, simple, and genuinely pleasant. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful.

Read moreI loved this bakery ! Everything was genuinely excellent, reflecting real craftsmanship and quality. I bought a Brie chutney sandwich, a pistachio roll, a Laugenbretzeli with butter, and a ginger lemonade. Each item was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made.
The sandwich struck the right balance between creamy cheese and sweet chutney - a classic pairing done right. The pistachio roll was delicately fragrant and refined. The Laugenbretzeli was crispy and buttery, a proud nod to German tradition. The ginger lemonade brought a sharp, refreshing finish that complemented everything beautifully.
We truly enjoyed everything and I recommend this place...
