I recently visited Konshi Restaurant and had a mixed experience with the food. While the ambiance was pleasant and service decent, the dishes varied significantly in quality.
The spicy chicken stood out as the best dish of the night. Although it wasnât authentically prepared, the flavor was above average and satisfying. It had a nice kick and was well-cooked.
Unfortunately, the mapo tofu was disappointing â overly oily and lacking the depth of flavor you'd expect from this classic dish. The mango salad was the weakest item on the table: bland and tasteless, missing the refreshing tang that makes mango salads enjoyable.
The vegetable stir-fry was both salty and greasy, which overwhelmed the natural taste of the vegetables. As for the fried udon mee, it was just okay â not bad, but nothing...

Whenever I felt hungry, I would go down to eat at the restaurant because it was very convenient for me. I've only tried the udon with chicken, so I can't speak for the other dishes, but I highly recommend the udon with chicken. However, from glancing at other people's plates, everything appears to be delicious. They are very generous with the portion size. I never finished my meal, so I honestly feel very bad. The service here is awesome, and the staff are super friendly. I might be a bit biased since this restaurant is conveniently located for me, it's a familiar place, and I'm starting to feel quite comfortable here, but I think it might just be my...

We ordered 3 courses and only one was barely good. The kongbao tofu had a sour and bitter aftertaste â a sign of ingredients not being fresh or even bad. Me and my partner both suffered from stomach problems 2h after we ate there and my stomach hurts until the 2nd half of the next day after having dinner in Konshi.
Like what I said, 2/3 courses taste not even averagely ok (one of them prob bad) and definitely donât match the price point (cost us over 100 as a humble 2-person din). Beverage was also mediocre. Soup tastes odd â not EU fusion nor Chinese classic. Very disappointing experience esp. considering itâs first day of a new year :((.
So yea we...
